Ocwen Modification- add on additional charges with penalty "after" agreement was signed Redondo Beach California
I have recently applied for an was accepted for an Ocwen loan modification. Once I has passed my trial time (3 months) without incedent, I recieved a new bill for an additional $6,900 for fees that occurred while we were negotiating the modification process, these fees include advertising, posting, statutory mailings. I have contacted Ocwen and explained that my agreement did not include these charges. I explained that these charges are above and beyond our agreement.
Ocwen has countered and said they incurred these costs- which I dod not dispute.
My dispute is that Ocwen and I entered into a contract that did not include these charges. Now Ocwen is proceed to add these charges to my bill and is changing LATE Penalty fees on a charge that is not valid.
I would like to take recourse, but am unsure how, since this loan was modified 3 months ago.
the fees are agregious and are taking advatage of the consumer (me) who has no recourse.
I need help.
