To all whom it may concern:

Please take notice, that...

MATTHEW BODDEY, Date of Birth: June 27, 1967;

KAREN KELLY BODDEY, D.O.B.: December 18, 1959,

4603 DESERT VARNISH DRIVE

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO 80922-2385

are, by their own filings, the registered owners of...

AMERICAN ACCEPTANCE a/k/a

NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE a/k/a

CONTINENTAL CREDIT a/k/a

AMERICAN CREDIT...

On August 25, 2000, Matthew Boddey filed a business registration form with the City of Bowling Green, Kentucky as sole proprietor of CONTINENTAL CREDIT, stating the business started August 1, 2000. On October 30, 2003, Matthew Boddey filed another business registration form for sole proprietorship of NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE, stating the business started August 1, 2000. According to the Office of Attorney General for the State of Colorado, Matthew Boddey was licensed from May 2, 2003 to July 1, 2004 as a debt collection agency under the name of AMERICAN ACCEPTANCE, but that license was cancelled. The Better Business Bureau of Bowling Green, Kentucky, AMERICAN ACCEPTANCE is also known as AMERICAN CREDIT. These are all documents FILED BY Mr. Boddey in his own hand-writing. Their company letters are supposedly authorized by TERRY WINTERS, COLLECTION MANAGER: this is NOT a real person, and the real person who previously went by that name in Bowling Green, Kentucky is NOT affiliated with NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

The addresses listed for National Acceptance are 1725 Ashley Circle #203, Bowling Green, KY 42101; 1725 Ashley Circle #208, Bowling Green, KY 42104; and, PO Box 51167, Bowling Green, KY 42101-4467. These addresses are also used for American Acceptance, in addition to: 1945 Scottsville Road B-2 #280 pmb, Bowling Green, KY 42104; 989 Pedigo Way, Bowling Green, KY 42103; P.O. Box 51854, Bowling Green, KY 42101-6854; and 4465 North Park Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907. Continental Credit uses the same addresses. American Credit uses the same addresses. The telephone numbers given for these "businesses" are: 1-888-326-2790; 1-888-463-9053; 1-800-877-2681; 1-800-464-1531; 270-782-5700; 270-783-0071; 1-888-463-9053; and, 719-622-0111. While there is a small (scant) office in Bowling Green, Kentucky, leased to Mr. Boddey (he's current on his payments as of now), it essentially functions as a mail-forwarding service. One of the people who work for NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE is Ms. Stephanie Silvano, 60 Isaac Lane, Scottsville, KY 42164 (Allen County, KY). She signs the Court summonses being delivered at the Bowling Green location. According to the Allen County Court, Ms. Silvano has charges of theft by deception (passing a bad check to the local Pizza Hut - Case # 05-M-00763) pending against her - hearing date on March 6, 2006. Of course, according to other court papers filed on behalf of Ms. Silvano, NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE paid her $600 for the month of September 2005, but did not withhold any state or federal income taxes, social security taxes, or medicare taxes.

There is a $6,674.50 Judgment from the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Missouri issued against AMERICAN ACCEPTANCE in favor of Michael Mendenhall for fraudulent debt collection practices. There is a $3,250.00 Judgment from the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Texas issued against NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE in favor of Lee Valdez. There is a $2,036.00 Judgment from the 7th Missouri Judicial Circuit Court against NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE in favor of James Whedbee. There is a pending lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan against the MATTHEW BODDEY, KAREN KELLY BODDEY, NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE, CONTINENTAL CREDIT, and AMERICAN ACCEPTANCE seeking unspecified damages (Case #1:06CV0118). Matthew and Karen Boddey can be treated as garnishees for the aforementioned "businesses." AT ANY TIME, BECAUSE THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF UNDISPUTED DEBTS EXCEED $10,000.00, IF THE AFOREMENTIONED JUDGMENT CREDITORS MAY DECIDE TO JOIN IN A PETITION FOR INVOLUNTARY BANKRUPTCY AGAINST THESE JUDGMENT DEBTORS.

The State of Colorado requires anybody engaged in the collection of debts TO BE LICENSED - Matthew Boddey LOST HIS LICENSE (Colorado License #988166 Terminated July 1, 2004). The common theme of all these lawsuits is that these people are ILLEGALLY putting false credit information on credit bureau reports with Experian. Furthermore, these people are using ILLEGAL DEBT COLLECTION techniques to extort money from people.

Finally, BE AWARE that according to documents filed in several of these lawsuits, KAREN BODDEY claims to work in the "legal department" of NATIONAL ACCEPTANCE as a paralegal. This is false! MATTHEW AND KAREN BODDEY are former criminals according to the States of Texas and Florida, and therefore, would not likely even be eligible to work in a law office, much less be a paralegal or attorney. (Duval County, Florida shows Mrs. Boddey as guilty of check fraud; Texas shows Matthew Boddey guilty of two unspecified misdemeanors.) IF THEY CLAIM TO HAVE A JUDGMENT AGAINST YOU, MAKE THEM PROVE IT! DO NOT PAY THEM A CENT UNLESS ABSOLUTE PROOF IS FURNISHED!

These so-called debt collectors usually buy time-barred accounts from other businesses that, for reasons of dispute, can't or won't collect the accounts themselves. If the account is time-barred, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY IT! DON'T! If you have a legitimate dispute - DON'T PAY IT!

Be further aware that the following have been contacted or are investigating these individuals...

United States Postal Inspection Service (allegation of mail fraud);

Federal Trade Commission (allegation of violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act);

Internal Revenue Service (allegation of tax evasion for not withholding taxes);

Attorney General of Colorado (practicing law without a license, unlicesed debt collection, and fraud);

Attorney General of Kentucky (same as above);

Attorney General of Missouri (same as above).

Hope this helps anybody else burned by these folks!

Best wishes,

James in KC, MO.

Follow-up to Settlement Notices... In my foregoing Notices, I quoted Mr. Mark Wortman, Attorney at Law, from an e-mail. To be fair, and to avoid future litigation over intellectual property (namely, who owned the rights to the words used on the internet), I cited Mr. Wortman and his e-mail to be clear to avoid confusion as to whose thoughts, words, and ideas were being used. I also wish to publicly thank Mr. Wortman for his consistent promptness in responding to my e-mail correspondence, for his politeness in dealing with me as his opponent, and for his negotiating skills in reaching this settlement. Even though Mr. Wortman and I are on opposite sides of this particular case, I'd have no problem retaining him in my own future legal affairs, and I want to be clear that he's a skilled and effective attorney-a credit to his profession. Again, my quote of Mr. Wortman was necessary to avoid a charge of plagiarism, no more and no less - I am participating in a settlement of my own free will (he's not holding a gun to my head). Best wishes,

THE EXACT TERMS OF THE SETTLEMENT WERE AS FOLLOWS... Dear Mr. Whedbee: I am in receipt of your letter to ripoffreport.com, and I have discussed this matter with my client. Since you are having difficulty getting them to remove the information from the website, my client is reluctant to settle with you. However, I discussed with them the expense and time that they will incur by litigating this case, and they are willing to make you another offer. Basically, if you are willing to post content on ripoffreport.com indicating that the information that you posted is inaccurate, you have no evidence to support the claims that you made, that you were mistaken as to the facts, and that National Acceptance has treated you fairly and reasonably with respect to your dispute and has worked with you to resolve it, and thus you have decided to dismiss the case, then they will still be willing to pay you a settlement of $500 upon dismissal of the case. Please let me know if this offer is acceptable to you. Mark A.Wortman Mark A. Wortman, Attorney At Law, LC ======================= IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE TERMS, IT IS REQUIRED THAT I SAY THE FOLLOWING... That the information posted above is inaccurate; That I lack evidence to support the foregoing; That I have made a mistake as to the allegations; That National Acceptance has resolved this matter in a manner which, as settled, is fair and reasonable; and, That I will dismiss ONLY as to National Acceptance my litigation.
