Complaint Review: Mauricio Macri Buenos Aires Capital Federal Argentina - Buenos Aires Select State/Province

I want everybody in the business world to know that they SHOULD NOT INVEST ANY MONEY OR START ANY KIND OF BUSINESS VENTURES IN BUENOS AIRES CAPITAL CITY WHILE MAURICIO MACRI is in the mayor's office.  I own a business here and one fine day, a few days before Christmas Eve, 2 inspectors appeared, GUILLERMO ROBERTO WANROOY, national document #8575447 and ROSANA ELENA DELFINO, national document #22589793 from the "Government Control Agency" in Argentina it's known as "Agencia Gubernamental de Control or AGC" located at Peron 2933 in the Once neighborhood in the center of Buenos Aires Capital City.

They came to my store with a checklist of items that are required for businesses to have, fire extinguishers up to date, exit sign, bathroom, insurance, and a few other items. After a quick inspection, one of them said to me that I had a problem with my municipal business permit, here in Argentina it's known as "Habilitación".  They left for a few minutes, then came back to my store and said "you have everything in order, but we are going to close you down anyway." So they closed my store down, right before Christmas Eve, the biggest selling days of the year for me.  I cried and begged them to please not do this and they called the police and closed my store anyway.  They wouldn't even tell me why I was being closed.  When other merchants on my street saw this, they told me you should have "arranged" meaning I should have offered them a bribe, because that is the only way to avoid this type of thing from happening.

When I went to the city government agency to try to fix this situation, I was treated very poorly and like a criminal.  Each time I went I was told come back this day and that day at 8:00 at 2:00 and each time I came back I was turned away with a different excuse, we don't have your file, the information is not in the system, etc.  After days and days of trying, of course everything was delayed over a week because of Christmas and New Years in the middle of this personal disaster, I finally got to speak to someone in the office that handles municipal business permits, and I was told there was a mistake, that I shouldn't have been closed that everything is fine for my business to operate. 

I was told to come back at 2:00 to speak to another department that would remove the closure from my business and I would be able to reopen.  I came back at 2:00 that afternoon, waited an hour to be seen and I had the bad luck of having to speak to Dr. Irene Marisa Carreira, who was extremely mean, would not help me, wouldn't tell me what I had to do to get this resolved simply walked away and sat down in her office and started laughing.  I started to yell and scream and demand that they help me and although Dr. Carreira didn't want to one of her co-workers came and helped me, got the paperwork in order and helped me to get this resolved. When I told Dr. Carreira that I was going to file a complaint against her she told me that if I did she would file a lawsuit against me.

My business was closed for approximately 20 days, I had to throw away a large amount of perishable merchandise, and since there was a big red sticker on the storefront that said "CLOSED BY CITY GOVERNMENT" there has been irreparable damage done to my business.

I have tried to contact the mayor's office about this and I get ignored never even an acknowledgement that they have received my messages. The head of this goverment control agency is Javier Ibáñez.

DO NOT DO ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES CAPITAL FEDERAL, THERE IS A SYSTEM OF BRIBES THAT SEVERAL INSPECTORS HAVE CAUGHT BUT OTHERS STILL DO THIS.  IT HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS.

 

Argentina is a WONDERFUL country, and until Mauricio Macri is out of the mayor's office DO NOT INVEST MONEY in Buenos Aires, choose other cities, Rosario, Córdoba and many other places. There are millions of very hard working and highly educated people in Argentina, honestly some are genious level intelligence.  And the ones in Buenos Aires, Capital City are being oppressed by the city government of Mauricio Macri. 

Everybody here tells me to shut my mouth because they are afraid I will be killed for speaking out. I am not afraid and If I am killed at least I stood up for a cause.......I will not be silent I will not be abused and in the name of Argentine Republic, the adopted country that I love.......AN END TO BUENOS AIRES CAPITAL CITY GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION ONCE AND FOR ALL!!
