Mayflower Moving Company - Billy Knowles Salesman New Orleans are crooks New Orleans Louisiana
Billy Knowles the salesman for Mayflower moving company lied to me about being able to get my deposit back if I decided not to use them for the move. I sent him a check for $250 for the deposit for the move. He was calling me everyday to make sure the check was in the mail. We had set a move date for Sept 19th. Unfornately the place I was moving into was not approved by the city of New Orleans for Electricity and we had to delay the move until the 1st. I was told that the price of $1000 for the move would remain the same. 3 days before the move someone from mayflower movers called me and said that the move would now be $1500. Needless to say I told them, that I was not interested in paying $500 extra and that I would take my business elsewhere. Billy assured my that I would get my deposit back and that he was sorry for the increase but it had to be done because it was the 1st of the month and they could get more money for moves at that time. Of course this was never mentioned when we agreed on the $1000 for the move.
All of the people that I spoke with at Mayflower were rude and I think that they are a continutions of Cajun Movers that was written up before on this site. Thugs and con men. Please be weary of Mayflower Movers before you use them.
