Mbna Platinum Plus /mbna deceptive and false advertising and promises Wilmington Delaware
I have 2 accounts with MBNA. One of the accounts is a business account. The interest rate on the business account is 11.9%. I recieved pre-approved offer from MBNA PLATINUM PLUS FOR BUSINESS WITH A 9.9% INTEREST RATE. I called to accept offer and explained that I had open account with them already and to please just lower rate on existing account.
I was told to fax offer to them as the interest rate sounded as if it was a personal account. I can read you morons, it has business written all over it. Anyhow, I did fax info to them. I was then told that I would have to open new account and then close old account as this was the only way they could handle this. I did and then 4 weeks later got letter stating that they would not open account as I had sufficient credit already with them. I guess that they assume if I have interest of 11.9% already, why should they lower it?
After receiving letter I called and got very bad customer service. The heck with them, I cancelled both accounts. Now I read all these other complaints posted, Thank God I always paid account far in advance and in full each month. Sounds as if they would love to destroy your credit if you give them opportunity to do so. Stay away from these liars and thieves. Thanks again RIP-OFF REPORT.
