mci worldcom wireless broke contractual agreement, refuse to reinstate original service plan Scottsdale, Arizona and/or Newark New Jersey
in january, 2001, a representative on behalf of mci worldcom called my home and offered me a cell phone deal that i could not refuse.
the plan included 500 any time minutes a month,free call forwarding,three-way calling,long distance calls from my home area that would be billed at $0.00 as long as i did not go over the 500 minutes, along with several other items contained in the plan--all for $29.99. i then accepted the phone offer and i was sent an order confirmation sheet containing the service plan agreement along with the activated phone.
at the bottom of this sheet was the statement "use of this cellular phone indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions of the offer." well, shortly after this time, mci worldcom conveniently developed a billing problem and i did not receive a bill until the june/july time frame.
when the bill came, the service plan had changed. mci had changed the 500 any time minutes, dropped the 3-way calling, charged for the call forwarding.
i called the toll free customer service number on 8/31/01 and talked to a representative who said that his name was charro and i explained what mci had done. he asked me to fax him a copy of the service plan and he would resolve the problem.i did. but he never called me back.
this scenerio occurred several times-- on 9/27, i talked to jackie, faxed her my plan. she did not get back to me nor did she solve the problem. on 9/27, talked to jerry. same results, 11/6, talk to cory,ditto. not one of these individuals returned my call after my conversations with them.finally, i wrote a letter to thomas barton in scottsdale,az. he did not respond. mci cut my cellphone off in november but the bill continues to come by home.
hence, my search on the internet for information on how to resolve this issue. i too, will file a report with the better business on this matter. mci and it crony customer reps had no intention of resolving this issue. i have refused to pay them until this issue is resolved and the original agreement has been restored in writing.
