I was contacted by [Managing Director, McKenzie Scott 713 385 0419] in February and was invited to discuss their executive marketing services. I was shown McKenzie Scott's process for developing executive marketing plans and told that, as an individual, I could only reach ~17% of the market but, with their plan, could reach ~96% of the market. I was further told that, once I became a client, a five member team would work with me to develop a marketing plan specific to my skills, experience level and industry preferences. I was then invited back with my wife so that McKenzie Scott could interview her as spouses are typically involved with high level interview processes. I was then chosen to become a McKenzie Scott client. Attachment 1 is the agreement. I was advised to select the options shown on attachment 2 and a meeting in Denver was scheduled for March 21 22 where I was under the impression that I would be meeting with my team to develop a plan specific to me. Prior to the meeting I was to fill out lengthy questionnaires on their web site which was to give them the information about me necessary to develop my marketing plan. Once there, I met with only one person.[Linda, VP,]. Attachment 5 is the non-specific, boiler plate, computer generated regurgitation of the information I had previously submitted. Upon reading through their boiler plate literature on the night of March 21, I discovered that the option #6 shown on attachment 2 rarely works [attachment 4]. In short, by their own admission, they purposely tried to sell me a bill of goods. On the 22nd, I questioned Linda about this and she readily agreed and offered to write a two page resume in lieu of the direct mailing to companies [attachment 3]. I was to receive this resume on the week of March 25 and haven't gotten it yet. I asked Linda about the large amount of boiler plate, lack of specificity and the money back guarantee. She agreed that what I had received was essentially boiler plate but the money back guarantee expired on the 21st. I cite the following: 1. McKenzie Scott knowingly tried to sell a service [direct mailing Option 6] which, by their own admission, was no good. I found this out by myself after reading their literature. To me, this is akin to selling someone an appliance and then, upon receiving payment, informing the customer that the appliance rarely works 2. McKenzie Scott misrepresented themselves by indicating a five member team with a team manager would be working specifically with me and my information to develop an executive marketing plan specific to my skills, experiences and industry preferences. I saw only one person outside of two group workshops. 3. McKenzie Scott has failed to deliver the two page resume promised on the revised agreement [attachment 3] Had I paid them with my American Express credit card, this failure to deliver would have been enough for a full refund. 4. McKenzie Scott claims full disclosure of all activities but refused to indicate where my resume was to be sent [attachments 6 & 7] citing proprietary database. Another misrepresentation. I feel I have been wronged and that McKenzie Scott is misrepresenting themselves in the marketplace. I don't know if there is an opportunity for punitive damages but, am requesting full refund at the least. Mark taylor lake village, Texas

resolution ...I withdraw my negative comments

McKenzie Scott and I have reached a mutually agreeable resolution to all of the issues noted in my prior report. My negative comments are withdrawn since, as a result of our mutual good faith efforts, they have all been discussed and resolved. McKenzie Scott is a reputable company.

I withdraw my negative comments about Bob and Linda. It turns out that many of the points I raised stem from a communications problem. For example, I have learned that while I met Linda and a few of her colleagues, there was, in fact, a team that prepared, reviewed and finalized my marketing plan and that, in my case, Linda was the team's spokesperson. To cite another example, I also learned that what I thought was boilerplate was, in fact, a computerized aqnalysis of information that I had provided. As a final example, McKenzie Scott openly disclosed that in some marketing channels, a low percentage is all that one could expect. I misconstrued this to mean that it rarely works and that I was sold a bill of good.....I was wrong.

This dispute had its roots in a communication breakdown and I regret the comments posted. In fact, McKenzie Scott acted honestly in dealing with my issues.
