Meet Market Adventures is not really a dating service but that was the only category available that was applicable to them. They organize events for single people, some a half day only, some longer such as cruises. My experience with them is that they charge a fee for these half day events for singles and it appears that not much planning or thought goes into them and the locales where they have organized them for would have similar events at the same cost or perhaps even less. What particularly raised my ire is one event that they had promoted as a "day at the firing range..." Myself and twenty other singles went to a firing range and expected that we would be firing three or four modern weapons all on our own for as many times as we wanted within a span of an hour. What actually happened was that we were allowed to fire any where from four or five shots from three weapons including a shotgun, rifle and revolver which were all replicas of those weapons from the early 1900's. The cost for this event was $59.99 plus tax. All of the participants felt ripped off in that we thought we were essentially going to be shooting a virtually unlimitted amount of rounds or bullets during the allotted time. Instead all twenty of us rotated through the three weapons.
It was only when I threatened to report the company to the Better Business Bureau and take them to small claims court did they finally refund my money onto my credit card and in fact only refunded to me $49.99 plus tax which they claimed was the price of the event when I signed up for it , which was a lie.
You'd be better off joining a co-ed sports team to meet eligible singles.

You are correct that Meet Market Adventures is not a dating service. We are a singles event & adventure company. We do have online dating & a matchmaking partner however our events are singles meeting other singles. Most members come out to have fun and meet new people. If you meet that special someone great, if not, you have had fun and tried something new!
We strive to provide quality events which is why they are not free. We also have in house costs such as administration and staffing. If our events were free we would not be in business. Most venues you could go to on your own, however we provide the service of meeting other singles you would not meet otherwise.
In the event details of our events we state what is included in the price. For our firing range event it does not say unlimited ammo. It does say Price includes: Instruction, cover charge, rifles & ammo & prizes for the best shot. We are more than happy to go into more specific detail if one should ask.
We value our members which is why we offered you a refund as perhaps that specific event had some venue complications as sometimes unforseen circumstances happen. Such is life. We take members feedback into consideration in order to continue to quality events and we receive a lot of positive feedback weekly.
We have a lot of sport related events and the difference between us and a coed sports team is our members are soley singles and are business professionals, whereas a community event can be anyone and everyone.
