My name was forged and sent to Melaleuca via the internet. Trying to get information from this company was unreal. Then they try to make it seem as if I was the confused one!

I was not confused about anything.

These are very savy people who MELALEUCA hires.

The application which I got a copy of looked as if a child filled it out.

A lot of the information was incorrect.

Yet they (Melaleuca) accepted it anyway.

I have saved all paperwork and e-mails from the mother/daughter team who signed my name.

They bugged me to death but yet I insisted I needed to read the "fine print."

They went ahead and signed it and sent it.

You need a magnifying glass to read the application.

I finially found a date on the application which does not match what Melaleuca states they recieved the application. They said March 2007 and on the application with a magnifying glass you can see 2007-04-30 using military time as 18:36 -11.0

They enrolled me as a preferred customer, sent me a business kit, and products.

They try to blow you off when you call the office at MELALEUCA.

I am a military wife and I never ever use my nick name to use on any form, my friends use this name and that is what "they" used on the app. My nick name. They did not use my middle initial. Sure they used my street address because the mother lives in the same neighborhood she also knew my phone number.

I never signed or sent the company anything. But I do have e-mails stating how the daughter said," I dont think you should sign it mother, you better call Debbie first."

She called and asked me if she could "initial" the paperwork for me. I told her absolutely not.

Melaleuca did send my husband a refund. They are so savy and quick and sound so innocent they conned my husband out of his debit card#. The app.states the card # must match the applicants name. It does not. I never recieved my "YELLOW" copy.

I did enjoy their products. They did not con us out of much money, its the principal. They still owe me. My main concern is to see that these two women are punished and that Melaleuca examins their applications before believing that all their employees are honest decent people. Melaleuca even admitted guilt. But, thats on paper, I want to see it happen. I want to know what these 2 con artists are going to recieve as punishment. And of course Melaleuca should be punished also for allowing this bogus application through.

Ways to resolve this with help from JAG and Melaleuca

#2Consumer Suggestion

Mon, July 30, 2007

First of all, I want to express that I am very sorry for the frustration you are experiencing and have experienced, as not all those who are Marketing Executives are as ethical as others. Melaleuca does have high standards, and unfortunately there are those who do not adhere to those same high standards when developing their business. A few suggestions I have since you mentioned you are a military wife: 1. Contact JAG and let them know about the fraud. You state you are a military wife, so they should be able to help you to file fraud charges against these women. 2. Do you live on base or off base? If these women who conducted this fraud are also a military spouse/child or affiliated with the miltary in anyway, this could be resolved thru military chain of command. 3. I contacted Melaleuca to inquire what would happen and was informed that they would lose their ability to collect commission (essentially losing their business) as long as Melaleuca is aware it was a fraudulent enrollment. I was also informed that they would pass it on to their legal department 4. Melaleuca does not "hire" anyone except at the location in Idaho Falls. Everyone else is a customer who decides to either just buy products, or to establish a business as an Independent Marketing Executive by referring customers to Melaleuca. 5. Again, I am sorry that you have had a less than positive experience with someone who obviously does not adhere to the high standards and morals that Melaleuca establishes with each Independent Marketing Executive when they sign their contracts to become Independent Marketing Executives. 6.I am glad to know you did enjoy the products and hope that in the future you might consider becoming and remaining a customer. You sound like a very reasonable woman who I would find it a joy to work with whether as a customer or business builder. I wish you the best and hope this information helps you and many others to know that Melaleuca does have high standards.
