Back in march of 2012 I filled out paperwork agreeing to a 1 yr membership at upper darby kickboxing and karate and listing my credit card as form of monthly payment.  In agust of 2012 i cancelled my credit card because it was lost forgetting that my gym membership was being paid on that particular credit card as i have another one until i received letter from member solutions in september  that i had unpaid balance. I then filled out new paperwork with new form of payment "direct withdraw from my checking account" in october of 2012 stating i still had unpaid balance. I spoke to owner of upper darby martial arts, andy carr to see if he handed in my new billing info and assured me he did that not to worry and ignore letters that the processing took time. By dec 2012 i received a threatnening letter from member solutions that they were turning my unpaid balance over to collection agency by ruining my good credit. I again was told by mr carr, not to worry that my account was up to date and next time i got another letter to bring to him and he would call the billing co. Unfortunately mr carr was out out sick recovering from surgery and i wasnt able to get a hold of him until april. I was still receiving threatnening letters that mr carr realized i had two accounts set up. I immediately called member solutions in april only to explain the sItuation  and they informed me that they couldnt close old acct until i paid balance in which i authorized them to take from my checking account to pay in full and then close that account. I just called this past tues 7/162013 to cancel my membership only be asked for which account that i had two active accounts. Unfortunately mu husband who does our banking didnt notice monies was being drafted by this company twice a mnth for $75 each as i also belong to another gym as he does as well. I was outraged and told them i was promised back in april that the old acct would be closed and that i was owed $300 for overdrafting on that account. They informed me they would need authorization from my gym and that they couldnt close my 2nd account because it was opened in dec 2012 and i had to honor a year contract and needed to either pay unfullfilled contract or have a medical reason.    Ironically the next evening during a sporting activity, i tore my latterall ligament and had to seek medical treatment. I am immobilized with leg brace and crutches and have an appt next tues with an orthopedic surgeon to see if surgery is needed. I called member solutions today to one find out if they spoke with someone from my gym about overdraft of $300 and 2) tell them the latest events of my injury and medical reason for cancelling membership and asking if i could fax paperwork from hospital with my diagnosis. The customer service rep i was dealing with, will langley, informed me, 1) he left message for gym and as of yet has not heard back and 2) they wont take my paperwork from hospital/doctor that i have to fill out their forms and they will review if my injury is legitimate. In the meantime they will still be billing my account. They are and have been comitting fraud!!!! I contacted my bank to authorize a stop payment for any future billing from member solutions for bothbaccounts they have set up for me. I am still out the $300 they embezzled from my account while promising to close it and im sure now that i have issued a stop payment they will turn my future unpaid balances off to a collection agency by ruining my good credit!!!! Someone please help and stop this sleazy company from their unscrupulous fraudulent practices!!! Fyi, im not the only one from my gym who this has happened too. A couple of people changed billing and when they went to cancel due to pregnancy or injury were told that their new contract date started when they changed their billi g info and that they 2 couldnt clise the account until they paid out year contract from that date even though they joined the gym a few years back!!!

Please know, the fraud is being comitted by the billing company, member solutions and not by the gym upper darby kickboxing martial arts.
