If you value your life do not use this medical clinic. My medical records were falsified over 4 years ago by an Otolaryngologist named Carolyn Mischer, M.D. She was under investigation by the Medical Board of California, the Menlo Park Police, the Office of Civil Rights and now Blue Cross of California. The doctor lied through all peer review and investigations. The CEO of the Clinic, Dr. Martin Bronk knows my medical records were falsified but the bottom line is money. They will not do anything to protect the public because if they took action against Dr. Mischer the clinic would lose money.

Therefore, you would risk the lives of your family members if you were to use this clinic. They are very corrupt. The mission statement they put out is false. The care nothing about patient safety. Otherwise, they would not deceive the public into believing they are walking into a clinic with physicians who have a clean record. This doctor is a danger to children and adults, do not let here near your family or you could end up with a permanent and life long injury such as I have and they will allow your medical records to be falsified. False medical records can kill patients and it is a criminal act.

All Apologies

All Apologies by Nirvana. I stole this story from an American Civil Liberties Union intake form. I am just a student. I wanted to try and get the stuff out to cyberspace. I have hit all the wireless spots and used hotmail email made up and cancelled accounts. I think some of the people in this story are real. I hope it helps others.

Suggestion you should have gotten permission from the real person and or tried to interview the others

Hi Peggy, Although I know you are not the real person who posted this information. Let's face it there is a lot of identity theft in cyberspace. Let me address my suggestions to the person who I know posted this message. If you were a reporter who was wanting to get this information out to the public and your editor turned you down you should not have used this information without permission. I think you should have gotten permission from the real person and or tried to interview the others. Although I am familiar with what you are trying to do maybe which is protect the public, you should never steal identies and make posts that are not your own. How did you do it?

The information is true but the author of the information is a concerned citizen who used the story to get it out to public. Right information wrong authors! I would keep the post but just so you know the information is true and correct the authors are justice vigalantes testing the wireless internet system to see if the information can get out to the public in a way that is good for everyone! Thanks for the site ED.

I heard of your story through the grapevine. Small town.

Peggy, I heard of your story through the grapevine. Small town. I think you have been on this for several years. i had a similar experience with this clinic. not the same doctor. they completely are not up to par on responding to patients and my records were not correct either. i believe they have bad management. I used to live in woodside I heard the head of the company was going through a divorce and perhaps that is why they have not been that good lately. I could be wrong but that may have something to do with all the bad press the clinic has gotten lately. If I were you I would never give up. It sounds pretty awful what you have been through. Are you going to sue them? Maybe contact Gloria Allred she takes on civil rights causes. Also, doesn't the false medical records extend or give you a right to sue for larger punitive damages? Word travels fast have you tried the local papers? After your story I definetly won't being going back there. Take care and don't give up. Best Wishes.

Let the reported business show the world how they took care of their customer, turning the negative Report into a positive. Good for both the consumer and the business alike. All businesses will make mistakes, how those mistakes are taken care of separates good businesses from bad ones. - FOUNDER, Ed Magedson =============================== Hi Everyone, I have a confession to make. My name is not really Peggy. I am a reporter she contacted in the local Palo Alto California area. We were working on writing her story for the paper. My editor and publisher squashed it. I felt that this it so important that this information get out because I live very close to the Menlo Medical Clinic and most importantly because I am a MOM! I saw all of Peggy's paperwork and how hard she has fought this battle of medical malpractice, deceit, how the Medical Board of California botched the investigations, how the clinic treated her. I had to become the whislteblower. If this information makes it out to the web and can save one child, one adult, one patient from the same treatment at the clinic that Peggy received it was worth it. I am sure Peggy will forgive me for using her information and there will be no further posts here as the wireless connection and email used for this post will be void after midnight tonight. Any person who does read this please note as a reporter I did my research well and I know what true patient abuse is. Please also know that the Medical Board of Califronia does not protect you! Only real patients willing to fight for your rights and a few whistleblowers can do that.

Menlo Medical Clinic will not release the results

Thanks for the support Stacey. Yes, the Medical Board of California will not release the results of the two investigations against the doctor. That is the part that is terrible. The public will think there has been no action, it just means there were no charges filed. Two investigations, when the statistics are about 11,000 complaints are received by the Medical Board about 8,000 are closed. This investigation ran over three years. The Medical Board has trouble retaining expert witnesses and don't forget doctors will lie or do anything to maintain the license. This doctor lied through it all. She has staff privledges at Stanford. I have reported her over three times or more to the Chief of Staff, the CEO Dr. Martin Bronk on is on the Board of Directors of Stanford, runs the clinic she works at. So there is a strong association with Stanford. They say they will respond to patient complaints. They treated me like dirt. Ignoring my correspondence, let ALONE THE PAIN AND SUFFERING I live through on a daily basis. False medical records are a tough thing. You place your trust in these people and you become the victim of a crime, the worst I tell you. All reviews of medical care are based on the record if that is falsified you stand a pretty good chance of getting away with it. She also put me under anesthesia with the wrong patients medical information! This is what I mean about things being public information. How will a parent know when they take their child to her what terrible things can happen. I believe the Medical Board should show investigations as well.

Thanks Peggy, I appreciate your response to my question - I went to the Medical Board of California website and found that she is not associated with Stanford - She has a clean record - no lawsuits, no complaints but that means nothing - file a grievance with the Board - that is all I can give you - bad thing is she graduated from the best medical school in Texas - kinda makes all the good doctors here look bad (my Plastic Surgeon taught there) Good luck to you hun and God Bless

Stacey, My medical records were falsified in this way. I went in for a unilateral tonsillectomy. Consented to removing only the left tonsil. The doctor removed a lot of the surrounding tissue as well. The left tonsillar pillars were a charred mess after the surgery. Completely gone. The doctor even told my sister to tell me not to look in my mouth after the surgery. Of course I did, the left pillars were completely burned off. On an appointment four months after this the doctor charted that these pillars still existed and were completely symmetric! I believe she falsified my medical record after my dentist called to report to her that it looked very abnormal. Also, I walked around for eight months with a pulling sensation and it was discovered by another ENT doctor that my left base of tongue was adhered to the left pharyngeal wall. I had a plastic surgery to remove the adhesion. Dr. Mischer lied even though I have excellent photos now and the statement of at least 10 different doctors who have charted my swallowing difficulties due to the botched surgery. The Menlo Medical Clinic has received enough evidence from me that this is the case even photographs. But once you lie you must continue because she is already in a lot of trouble. This Clinic is owned and affliated with Stanford (supposed to be the best) not so, they all know and just ignore it. Amounts to nothing more than patient abuse.
