My wife and I purchased the John Beck Real Estate program after watching a promising infomercial. We recieved the contents of the program after a few days, which was just a few CDs and about three books. We began reading over the very confusing and unstructured material. A few weeks later, we got a call from a Jeremy Foote who said that they were looking for their new sucess story and would be willing to help us achieve our finacial dreams of becoming financially free! After a short screening, they told us that with approx. $14,000 we could be enrolled and would make this money back within 30-45 days. My wife and I were all excited about the offer but didn't have the money to enroll at that very moment.

After a month or so, we finally had gotten our credit card limits raised and deceided to call back this Jeremy Foote guy and take a leap on what we thought would be a journey to financial freedom. We ended up paying $9,857 to join and shortly thereafter, recieved a package of literature on the course. We were given half-hour weekly appointments with a coach who was to help and guide us along our way to making our first deal and progress towards our goal to financial freedom. We were told that as long as we completed every assignment given to us during the coaching sessions we would most probably make our first deal within 30-45 days.

Our goals, and not to mention the money we invested, were our drive to get our assignments completed and take every step necessary to achieve success. However, after our third appointment, the coaching sessions became redundant, our coach didn't seem as enthusiastic or helpful, he didn't reply to emails and didn't respond to phone calls in a mannerly time, and we didn't feel like we were given quality time due to other appointments he was rushing to get to.

Unfortunatley, this whole program has not worked for us. We have been working hard, trying to get a deal done with less and less help and guidance with each passing day. what we were told would take 30-45 days has not happened yet and we are on day 60. This has put a great stress on our financial situation, our jobs, and our personal lives. Most importantly, it has been a waste of valuable time we will never regain!

My step by step guide to getting your money back from John Beck's Mentoring of America LLC of Utah.

#3Consumer Suggestion

Tue, November 21, 2006

First let me just say that I went through the same situation with these lowly people associated with John Beck. Mentoring of America is the fraudulent company in Utah that conducts these coaching programs for John Beck, Jeff Paul, and also John Alexander. They care nothing about who you are, or your situation. They are only after your credit card number and money. They could care less about you. Mentoring of America has charged other people on this site anywhere in the wide range of $1,500 to $15,000 for the exact same coaching program. Mentoring of America sets the price you pay for the program solely on the amount of available credit line was on your credit cards. Or like in my case, how much money you have saved in the bank. The program has no set price at all. Mentoring of America sells it on an individual basis for whatever they can. The salespeople who you speak with on the phone about this program are always very interested in learning about your credit cards and their limits. Then they refuse to issue refunds when you want one. That's fraud. I'm going to get right to the point and tell you that I got Mentoring of America to issue me my full $7,000 plus refund, after everyone there coldly and rudely turned down my request for a long time. You just have to know what to do, and who to contact to get their attention and to get them to comply to your demands. That's what I am going to show you on this page. Since then, my suggestions have assisted other people on this site who have followed them, in getting their refunds also. Here is my proof to you that this can work for you as well, but only if you apply it and keep in contact with the Utah investigator. Please read everything I typed for you below, and more importantly DO IT. If you want your money back, take the follwing action. I can't do it for you. Only you can. I am sick and tired of seeing new rip-off reports appear regarding Mentoring of America and John Beck continuing to defraud others in the same manner. It makes no difference how long ago this happened. You can get your money back. I got my full refund even after more than two years, once I finally figured out what I needed to do to get Mentoring of America's attention and comply to my demands that they otherwise chose to ignore and turn down. REFUNDS ISSUED BY MENTORING OF AMERICA IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS: In the last 4 months, Mentoring of America has issued the following refunds to people on this site who have followed and applied my suggestions: Alexis from Florida got back her full $7,485.00 See it here: ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff203194.htm Jeff from Mass. got back his full $6,500.00 See it here: ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff203813.htm Lloyd from Minnesota just got refunded $9,700.00 See it here: ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff212345.htm In August I personally got back my full $7,000 plus. (An actual picture of my refund check to come if approved by ripoffreport.) That right there is over $30,000 in refunds within last 3 months, and from only 4 people. This company is cheating people all across North America everyday. There are perhaps more refunds issued that we do not yet know about from visitors and readers of this site who never post comments. If anyone out there has received a refund from the suggestions on this site, please post and share the dollar amount you got back. MENTORING OF AMERICA HAS BEEN SUED REPEATEDLY IN UTAH VERY RECENTLY. Here's a recent news report video that was aired on live local television about the lawsuits filed against John Beck's Mentoring of America in Utah in case you have not see it. It's important that you as a victim of this company see this broadcast. (( link removed by ROR)) Mentoring of America has now been sued again several more times after that news report was aired. HOW TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM MENTORING OF AMERICA: #1 FILE A CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORM AGAINST MENTORING OF AMERICA WITH THE UTAH DIVISION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION: Copy and paste this link to your browser for a copy of the consumer complaint form that you need: If the link below appear cut in half, put both halfs together on your browser or go to their website for one. (www.dcp.utah.gov) consumerprotection.utah.gov/ downloads/complaintform.pdf A. Print this consumer complaint form out, fill it out completely, sign it, date it, mail and/or fax it into the Utah Division of Consumer Protection office. Their address and fax number is right on the form itself. This is Mentoring of America's main corporate office. Use this address on your complaint form and all other complaints that you file, regardless of which of their other many Utah offices you are dealing with or getting your coaching from: Mentoring of America LLC 752 East 1180 South Suite #200 American Fork, Utah 84003 Phone: 877-704-6346 B. BE SURE to staple to this Utah complaint form, a copy of your CREDIT CARD/BANK ACCOUNT STATEMENTS with the dollar amount Mentoring of America/John Beck has charged you clearly highlighted. C. Also staple a copy of the unsigned "Enrollment Confirmation" page if you have it. Mentoring of America should have sent you an "Enrollment Confirmation" page that they wanted you to sign and return back to them. It's a single sheet of paper that shows the last 4 digits of your credit card(s), the price you paid for everything, the date, their company logo at the top, what you are getting for that price i.e., 10 half hour weekly calls, etc. If you still have it with you and have not signed it, make a copy of it, and also staple it to you complaint form and send it in all together. Do not sign this "Enrollment Confirmation" page. (An actual picture of my unsigned original copy of the "Enrollment Confirmation" page to come shortly if approved by ripoffreport.) D. Use the "Summary" box of the Utah consumer complaint form to explain in detail your entire situation. BE SURE to include any and all fake promises their people told you, fake money back guarantees, lies, false statements, never mentioned a no-refund policy, misrepresentations, lack of communication, difficulty reaching them by any means, disconnected and changed phone numbers, as well as the names of any of Mentoring of America and John Beck's people you remember speaking with. Definitely mention the fact that you are sick, disabled, etc. Make it clear that you want a full refund of your remaining $6,500, and that all of our attempts to resolve the issue directly with the company have all failed. E. When you see that your complaint form has arrived at the Utah Division of Consumer Protection office by either fax or mail, keep in direct contact with Utah investigator Ao Pauga at 801-530-6601. His first name is pronounced as "Al". This is the investigator who is dealing with Mentoring of America. This is the person you want to verify with that your complaint has been processed, and keep in touch with about it also. This is the person who helped me get my $7,000 plus back, as well as the above people I mentioned who go refunds. #2 FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST JOHN BECK AND ANOTHER AGAINST MENTORING OF AMERICA WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU (BBB.com). A. The more complaints from different directions you file against them, the better. Mentoring of America and John Beck will receive notification when you do this, and they will see that you are not playing games. Again, for Mentoring of America, file the complaint directly against their main corporate office at: Mentoring of America LLC 752 East 1180 South Suite #200 American Fork, Utah 84003 Phone: 877-704-6346 B. Use the BBB complaint summary box to again explain everything you explained in the "summary" box of the Utah consumer complaint form above. Make it clear that you want a full refund of your remaining $6,500. #3 FILE ANOTHER COMPLAINT AGAINST JOHN BECK AND ANOTHER AGAINST MENTORING OF AMERICA WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMISSION (FTC.gov). A. Repeat the process here. Explain your situation once again just like you did on your Utah consumer complaint form. Again, make it clear that you want a full refund of your remaining $6,500, and that all your efforts to resolve the issue directly with the company have all failed. #4 FILE ANOTHER COMPLAINT AGAINST MENTORING OF AMERICA WITH THE U.S SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION A.K.A SEC.(SCE.GOV). A. After the SEC receives a certain ammount of complaints filed against a particular business or company, they will launch an investigation on that company. The SCE has recently done just that against a well known fraud pyramind scheme company called "Prosperity Automated Systems" or "PAS". The SCE has crushed, and shut them down and put them out of business for good just recently. I want the same to happen to Mentoring of America LLC out of Utah. If there are enough complaints, it can happen. #5 VERBAL AGREEMENTS AND VERBAL CONTRACTS OVER THE PHONE ARE NOT CONSIDERED VALID AND DO NOT COUNT IN THE STATE OF UTAH AND MANY OTHER STATES. A. That's right. Any type of verbal agreement or verbal contract you may or may not have done with Mentoring of America over the phone is NOT considered valid and DOES NOT COUNT in the state of Utah, period, end of story. Mentoring of America KNOWS this well, but they think that you won't know. That is why Mentoring of America will send you via mail an "Enrollment Confirmation" page telling you to immediately sign and return back to them. They want your signature on paper since they know verbal agreements and verbal contracts won't hold value in a legal dispute. Nowhere on this "Enrollment Confirmation" page is there ANY type of mention of a "no-refund" or "all sales final" policy. B. Mentoring of America likes to tell the people who call demanding a refund that they cannot issue you one, because they have you recorded on audio tape agreeing over the phone to their terms and conditions. If you ask them to let you listen to this recording, they will come up with excuses as to why they can't, but will keep insisting that they do have it. THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED VALID BY THE STATE OF UTAH. This is merely attempt by Mentoring of America to deter you from pursuing a refund, to keep your money, and to stall out your 60 day grace period in which you can go dispute and reverse the charges with your credit card company. Their call reps are trained and told to say this to you when you call them demanding a refund and your money back. They told me this when I called wanting to use the 100% money back guarantee that their lowly employee named JAYDER SALAZAR gave me to get me to sign up. They have told other people on this site the same thing. DON'T BUY INTO IT. IT WON'T HOLD UP IN A LEGAL DISPUTE NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. #6 END YOUR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH MENTORING OF AMERICA. PUT YOUR COACHING CALLS ON HOLD IF YOU STILL HAVE ANY LEFT. A. Stop your communications with Mentoring of America. If you still have coaching calls left, call and put those on hold. Record this conversation with a tape recorder just in case they don't do as you asked. After this, don't call them anymore. If you need anything, call Utah investigator Ao Pauga at 801-530-6601 about it instead. B. Have a tape recorder ready and connected and tape record any phone calls that you may receive from any of John Beck or Mentoring of America's people. This can be valuable if someone tells you something, and then they don't do it or they later change their story. You will have it recorded on tape if you do this. #7 READ THIS IF YOUR CREDIT CARD(S)/BANK ACCOUNT THAT YOU USED TO PAY FOR THIS PROGRAM ARE NOW CLOSED. A. If you have now closed or canceled your credit card(s) account or bank account that you used at the time to pay for this program and are seeking a refund, mention this fact on your complaint forms, and say that you want your refund in the form of a hand signed CHECK, and not in the form of a credit back to your now closed account. If you don't, Mentoring of America will want to credit back a closed and non-existent account, which they can't do. If this is the case, don't sign any Refund Agreement forms they might have sent you. Instead, contact your bank/credit card company and have them fax you a short hand written statement saying that Mentoring of America must send you a hand signed refund check instead, because your account is now closed and they cannot credit it anymore. Call Mentoring of America, and fax this statement to them as well as the Refund Agreement you must have. Tape record this conversation with a tape recorder for your records. Follow up with them and ask for a tracking number for your refund check. B. If your credit card/bank account is still open and active, disregard this final step. IN CLOSING I only ask for anyone who uses my suggestions and gets their money back from Mentoring of America to post a comment and share with us your refund dollar ammount. It gives me great personal satisfaction seeing people benefit from my suggestions. That is all I ask of you.

The guy you paid $9,857 to learn from is not a "real estate professional". He works for $7.00/hour to read a script to you for 30 minutes each week. ((( why do I feel like mentoring is on the do not post - & link 3/4 of the way down)))

Anthony, I WAS ALSO RIPPED OFF BY MENTORING OF AMERICA LLC. You might not like it, but I am going to tell it to you just the way it is. I have dealt with this fraud company and even had to take legal action against them to get all my money back. You've been total scammed and you need to read everything that I have taken much time to type out for you, so that you know what to do. And it won't be easy getting your $9,857 back. I was able to get all my $7,000 plus from them, which I will show you how to do in a seperate post. THEIR COACHES ARE NOT REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS LIKE THEY TOLD YOU THEY WHERE BEFORE YOU SIGNED UP FOR $9,857. The so called " experienced real estate professional" that you just paid $9,857 to learn from is just a regular everyday joe with no real estate experience who simply reads off of scrips in order to know what to tell you on the phone each week. They are regular job workers who have a boss, they work for someone who controls their hours, their wages, they get paid about $7/hour and have to drive to work each day, and got hired by answering a classified ad that offred them a job talking to real esate clients on the phone. The exact opposite of what they are supposed to be teaching you. Obviously what they have to offer you is not what it's presented or else they would be doing it themselves and getting rich from home instead of working for a measly $7/hour talking to someone like you, and having a boss on top of that. HERE'S HOW THAT GUY YOU JUST PAID $9,854 TO LEARN FROM GOT HIRED. HE'S A FAKE, NOT AN "EXPERIENCED REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL". ALL THEIR COACHES ARE FAKE. NONE OF THEM HAVE ANY INFORMATION THAT WILL MAKE YOU WEALTHY OR THAT IS EXCLUSIVE. IF IT WAS, THEY WOULD BE DOING IT THEMSELVES AND WQRKING FOR $7.00 AN HOUR TALKING TO YOU OVER THE PHONE. NO WEALTHY REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL WOULD WORK THERE. Here's how the so called "real estate professional" you paid so much money to learn from got hired. Mentoring of America LLC, the company they work for, their boss, runs these "General Help Wanted" ads in their local Utah newspaper called the "Daily Herald". This is where these fake coaches come from. Here I have copied and pasted one of their exact ads. Some of their ads are in video format, and they offer people a job talking to "real estate clients" over the phone. General Help Wanted Mentoring of America LLC Real Estate Coaching Inside Sales Hot Buyer leads / No cold calling Call: 877-704-6346 ext 4003 This fraudulent company (Mentoring of America LLC) has been sued in court repeatedly this year for ripping people off for thosands each. See this link for a recent news report video about the lawsuits in Utah filed against Mentoring of America LLC. www.wkrc.com/mediacenter/?videoId=10945=9 This is John Beck's coaching company that he never told you about in the infomercial you saw on TV. This is what he really wants you to buy. HERES HOW YOU GOT RIPPED OFF IN A MAJOR WAY. Mentoring of America hires these workers through local Utah classified ads. Then Mentoring of America pays these fake professional coaches about $7.00/hour wage to teach you over the phone free general public knowledge they read off of scripts that you could have easily gotten at the local library or the Internet for free. And you paid the company (Mentoring of America LLC) $9,857 for ten 30 minute weekly calls. If you divide what you paid for this garbage by 10 thirty minute calls, you get $985.70. YOU PAID $985.70 PER HOUR WHILE MENTORING OF AMERICA PAYS YOUR FAKE COACH ABOUT $7 DOLLARS PER HOUR. So, you Anthony just paid Mentoring of America $985.70/per hour while they pay your fake coach only about $7.00/per hour to talk to you for 30 minutes each week for 10 weeks. In your case, each 30 minute coaching call costs Mentoring of America only about $3.50 while you paid them $492.85 for the same 30 minutes. And all this money just for some loser to not even reply to e-mails, to be in a rush to get to his next scheduled call, and to repeat the same thing on the next call he already told you before???? THEY BASED YOUR PRICE OF $9,857 SOLELY ON HOW MUCH AVAILABLE CREDIT WAS ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS. YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS A SCAM WHEN THEY WANTED YOU TO RAISE YOUR CREDIT LIMITS, AND THEY KNOCKED ABOUT $5,000 OF THE ORGINAL PRICE OF $14,000 THAT THEY FIRST GAVE YOU. The fact that they asked you to raise the credit limit on your credit cards should have clearly tipped you off that they are only after your money and that this is a complete ripoff. That and the fact that they just knocked off about $5,000 off their original price like nothing. Read all the complaints on this site, and you will find that these same scumbags have sold the exact same thing you paid $9,857 to other people for anywhere between $1,500 and $15,000. They priced you based on your open credit line available on your credit cards. That's why they where so interested in your credit limit and you to raise it more. They did the same to you. It's total fraud.
