Metro Auto Group In believe they sold me used bent falken rims as new rims Riverside California
Bought a new Hyundai Azera in August of 2006. We paid $2,000.00 for after market rims and tires. My husband drove the car home and he stated that it was shaking a little. I called the dealer the next day and took the car back in. Pat the service tech at that time had my car for approx. a week. They came to the conclusion that my rims were missing a special ring to help the rims fit better. My steering felt very tight so I am not sure what they did. I drove for a while with a mild shaking, it was better but not completely fixed. I took it back once it started getting worse again. Pat again told me he did not know what it was but when he took my aftermarket tires/rims off and put stock ones on it did not shake.
I specifically asked Pat/Jim to have the rims checked to see if they were bent. They told me no so I believed them, maybe my wheels were out of balance. I got them balanced, it helped for a short period of time but did not correct the problem. I finally talked with Jim their service manager and told him what I wanted. I told him that I needed new tires already @20K miles. I told him I did not want to go buy new tires if my rims were bent. I asked him to see if we can work something out. I did not need my money back because it had been several months since my purchase but I would like to request the stock rims and tires that I already paid for. I asked him to see what he could do and call me back. I called him a couple of times. He never called me back.
Approx. three weeks had passed and I gave up. I couldn't wait any longer my tires were bad (wore down more because of the bent rims) I had to buy new tires. I then went and spent $1,000.00 on new tires giving up the battle. I thought for sure this would be the fix. On my drive home with my new tires the car still shook. I cried all the way home. It was not the tires. I called the owner of the company, Michael Richardson and blew up. I was very angry and told him the whole story. He said basically that I was out of luck. He finally said call and set a time and stop in and talk with him. I have called 3 times and left messages on his voice mail; I have never had a return call. Pat the service guy is no longer there. I am going to try to track him down to see if he recalls my situation as I think he knows the truth. Again, I truly believe they sold me used bent rims. This auto dealership is approx 30 to 45 min away without traffic. I work 40 + hours a week and it is a shame, I feel, that they took advantage of me and my situation. At this point I would like for them to reavaluate my situation and still do the right thing. If they do not make this situation right, I want other people to be aware so they will think twice about doing business with them.
