Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Metro will build a great roof per it's agreement with Owens Corning, and if you get the right roofing sub contractor. What it does lack is the way they work with their PM's (sales persons) and the way they treat them. That is why they have a very high turn over rate. when it comes to working with what they call their Project Managers, they have been know to not pay in full their PM's after they end their contract with them. they treat their 1099 (independent contractors) as employees, but do not pay tax on them, that's why they are 1099's. This way they can avoid (all legal, but ethical???) paying employee taxes on their sales personal. You have to do as they say, meetings, running leads that if you were able to contact them before you went on the appointment you would about 65%+ of the time find that it is not a good lead but you must run it or you will not get any business from them in the future, meaning that they will not give you any kind of leads at all.

You do all the work (selling, paperwork, collection) yet they only pay 10% commission. If you question their methods you are in a way black listed and then will have your contract canceled. Not the best way to build a quality sales group.

They also in a way mess lead on purpose the homeowners when their door knockers knock on their doors. Leading them to believe in some cases that they are working for the utilities company and or that they are NOT there to sell them. At least not that day.

I was told that this was an honest and ethical company to work for. But after seeing what they do to their project managers, and how they get appointments through door knocking it was a load off my shoulders when they canceled my contract. I didn't leave the company because in todays world you need to keep any job you can get. But it had gotten to the point with the local manager that I felt that I was starting to compromise my morals and ethics, and that i could no longer trust him.

I am sorry for going on and on, but they have taken food of my children's mouths and money out of my families hands. It's not right what they are doing. I know that I am just one small voice and that this company is a big company and the owner is on numerous Denver boards, but it's still not right what they are doing to the little man.
