I submitted a warranty claim on a Circulon griddle, which was denied by Meyer. This griddle has a lifetime warranty on defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use for the lifetime of the cookware. This griddle has been used under normal household use but has lost it's non-stick ability due to a build up of stuck food, which cannot be removed. This griddle is supposed to be non-stick but it has failed to be non-stick.

Meyer Corp. (Circulon) responded with the following: "Our inspectors determined that his griddle's lifetime warranty was voided as a result of misuse and/or abuse stemming from its exposure to continued overheating and grease buildup."

There was no misuse and/or abuse stemming from its exposure to continued overheating! The griddle was used in NORMAL HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY using MEDIUM HEAT. Grease buildup should not have occurred because the product is supposed to be NON-STICK. The non-stick surface on this product is INFERIOR!

Further, this product is supposed to have a "Hassle-Free Lifetime Guarantee" as advertised here: circulon.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/427 Meyer has not honored their warranty and has created an enormous hassle for me! The warranty states, "guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use for the lifetime of the cookware." THIS PRODUCT WAS USED IN NORMAL HOUSEHOLD USE!

My advice to those thinking about purchasing a Meyer or Circulon product is don't expect them to honor their warranty!
