Test drove a vehicle, it was shaking.  The Mid Missouri Auto Works Mechanic said it was because of mud on the tires. Purchased vehicle and many problems. Vehicle continued to shake worse until undrivable. Returned for service, obviously didnt fix it as the shaking continued as well as other mechanical problems. The owner of Mid Missouri Auto Works said they were going to chrge us for the repair's. The vehicle did continue to shake and a tire blew with our 5 & 6 year old children in the vehicle, while on the Hwy. We asked about the tires before purchasing the vehicle because of our children, who were present when we bought it. The owner of Mis Missouri Auto Works said they were fairly new tire and they were safe. When we purchased a replacement tire at Wal-Mart the mechanic said the tires were not safe to drive on. Because of the added expense for repair the owner of Mid Missouri Auto Works agreed to hold a check until our payday, but he didn't. He cashed it before, which resulted in insufficient funds.  The owner of Mid Missouri Auto Works repoed the vehicle approximately two weeks later without attempting to cash the check after our payday. The vehicle was repoed in January, but Mid Missouri Auto Works called on 03-27-10 and threanted to have us arrested for the check that was insufficient before they repossessed the vehicle.  I asked them for time to get the money, but they said if we didn't pay them that they were going to take the check to the county prosecutor and we were arrested. Being familer with Missouri law, I explained to them that we were required to have 10 days notification before charges could be filed. They said that wasn't true and I told them it was usually standard proceedure for prosecuting attorneys to give the 10 day notice, but then they said they use there own attorney after already saying there were going to the countyprosecutor to have us arrested. A co-worker of mine also baught a vehicle from Mid Missouri Auto Works after we purchased our vehicle.  My co-worker traded in a vehicle that was already paid off for a vehicle from Mid Missouri Auto Works, but he ended up having mechanical issues with the vehicle and finally surrendered the vehicle back to Mid Missouri Auto Works. They did not return the vehicle he traded in or refund any money.
