Then send a certified letter, return receipt requested, that clearly states that you are disputing this debt and that you are demanding full validation per FDCPA and want copies of any and all documents that establish this as your debt. Once you receive the validation documents, you can assess whether it's your debt or not. I would not simply ignore them - if the debt is from 2005 as you indicate, it's not past the statute of limitations and they might go to court to get a money judgement against you.
