Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I recently received a letter from Midland Credit Management stating that they purchased a Capitol One account .I dont owe Capitol One S..t and I sure aint paying these fools S..t I payed Capitol One back in 6-6-05 874.72 they sent me a letter stating that this amount was payed in full.I have the statement from my bank and the old check. sent these fools a letter stating I have no business with you and this debt is not valid.I mad as hell and ready to fight to the death for my credit they missed with the wrong one .I'am a real estate investor and plan to file every complaint that i can and sue this company right away might even go to my local news.I worked hard as hell to get my credit right and i aint about let some collection mobsters ruin it for me they need to leave people alone thats one reason why i say everything and keep a good file.no win here!!

Then send a certified letter, return receipt requested, that clearly states that you are disputing this debt and that you are demanding full validation per FDCPA and want copies of any and all documents that establish this as your debt. Once you receive the validation documents, you can assess whether it's your debt or not. I would not simply ignore them - if the debt is from 2005 as you indicate, it's not past the statute of limitations and they might go to court to get a money judgement against you.
