Having read the 10 posted complaints on this site about Midwestern Brand Meat, and the associated rebuttals (all from the same person), I cannot believe I was taken advantage of the same way by the same company.
One day after work a white truck pulls up in front of my house and out step a man and a woman and give this very slick presentation on how they provide high quality individually wrapped meat at a great price. We went into the garage to get out of the heat and the salesman went on about how the founder 22 years ago left a similar reputable company to start his own frozen door-to-door sales company, and was backed by a retired Army General. He also went on about how he sold all over the neighbourhood, listing neighbours by name, profession and so on. He also told me he sold to the stores and restaurants in the area, so why buy from them for more the kicker was not only was he good, the meat looked great! And the price was competitive, and if I bought one case, hed throw another in for free
If I had only had, or taken the time to, go online.
I consider myself to be a reasonably smart person (I have over 20 years in uniform, 2 masters degrees and do well at Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy), but he was good. So without researching, I bought two cases for just under $400.
Well that night I did go online, but didnt find out much about the company or the product there wasnt much out there. So the next day I decided to try the burgers. They were good, tasty at least, but fatty. The next night I decided to try one of the high-quality rib eyes. Not so good. Finally I tried one of the beef tenderloins and it too was not worth the money spent.
As others have said the policies are not consumer friendly returns for exchange, only at a store etc, so I have eaten (so to speak) the cost and am humbly slowly turning it all into hamburger which seems to work. Very expensive hamburgers.
Avoid this product at all costs.
To Carnivore I do not believe you actually support this product or company, I believe you work on their behalf to counter the negative publicity. Their product is of a poor quality, as are their customer service and policies.

I too was approached to purchase some of the Mid-Western Steaks and I am very disappointed. I believe it is a scam! I thought I was smarter than this, and can't believe I was taken in by the salesperson.
I wrote her a check and she cashed it within 10 minutes of leaving me - Imagine that!
She also gave me her phone number - Not a good number!
The steaks are very tasteless, and NOT worth the money. I only wish I would have investigated first.

Peace be with you...thousands of happy customers.....Contact your distributor...Always pay by check or credit card.....And get contact info.....Perhaps you bought stolen ,not cared for product?...Or another full of it competitor?...

I note that each rebuttal has been by yourself, and wonder why that is. Based on your grammar and spelling style I could conclude it's a "work from home and made $10,000 a month" high school drop out, but that's not the point I want to make.

I know Quantum supplies meat to the US Military overseas, but I doubt it's the same crap I was sold. If it is, I feel bad for the soldiers who work all day in the heat and dust, then return to their FOB for "steak". They deserve better.
One also has to wonder why Qantum has so many trademarks for their distribution of foods... one might conclude it's to exploit an area under one name, then change names once they saturate their crap and their reputation under than name catches up to them.

Also, Quantum is not accredited with the BBB, makes me wonder why.
As for the guarantee, it has to be returned to a store, which is a challenge when there is not one within 500miles. I've learned from my error and only hope to make others aware of the scam.
In the meantime, I'll (not so much) enjoy the hamburgers that I've made out of the "steaks"...

Ya just can't please everyone.And most of these reports are competators.Further investigation will show.Midwestern Brand is produced by Quantum foods.Wich supplies th U.s.milatary....Might do better contacting the company you purchased it from.They all have a satisfaction Guarentee.
