On 4/8/05, I purchased the domain name www.Legal-Searches.com in ebay auction #7506343676 posted by Spectrallusion Inc's Mike and Norita Thomas. They go under the username "spectraglo".

I paid $1.00 for the auction and another $22.99 for transfer fees and the first month of hosting. This payment was sent through PayPal. I received nothing from the seller.

After a few weeks, I discovered they had already sold the domain name www.Legal-Searches.com in a previous auction (#7503061430) on 3/25/05 to another buyer, Richard Gory of Melvindale, Michigan.

Legally they should have not posted the auction I won since they didn't legally own the domain name they advertised. I have brought this to their attention many times. I have complained to PayPal but it is below their $ threshold. I have complained to ebay as well and it also appears to be below their $ threshold.

I am not the only buyer who has been ripped off by Spectrallusion. Despite numerous attempts to correspond, they prefer to ignore the issue and lie about what they have done. Please see more documentation as well as links to the ebay auctions at this website address:

I would like my money back from these "people". Even more so, I would like for them to stop ripping people off in their online scams. I have contacted the FTC and am also informing the state of KY attorney general of their illegal activities. I want the general public to be aware of the ridiculous behavior and denials I've been forced to endure from this "business".

I would like a refund of the $23.99. If this matter needs to go to court, I'll expect much, much more. I would also like it publicly noted that these people have ripped me off and have ripped off others as well. Just look at their ebay feedback and see how unpopular they are. They should not be allowed to be in business dealing with the general, honest public.

Hi. I'm sorry to hear what has happened to you. If you put this charge on your credit card when you paid with paypal. A way to get your money back is to file dispute with your credit card company. They should be able to get you a chargeback from the sellers account. Two possible routes should be "Not As Described" or "Services Not Rendered" ask your credit card company for more details.
