Took my 2014 travel trailer to Mike Thompson RV, in Fountain Valley, for repairs. While at their shop, they backed another trailer into mine and broke off the door to the outside kitchen. When I went to pick the trailer up after repairs, the repair price that was quoted to me 2 days before was now $300 more. When I asked my service rep, Rob Knudtsen, about the descrepency he said with an attitude, " you misunderstood me" and would not answer anymore questions. Service manager, MIA. No other help or explaination was offered. I was frustrated to say the least, paid my bill and went out to hook-up my trailer.

I did a walk around the trailer, looking at and using those items that were repaired. At no time did Rob Knudtsen come out to go over and discuss the repairs. Upon opening the door,  that Mike Thomson broke and replaced, I noticed it was hanging up. I knew at that time I was never going to bring my trailer back to them for repairs and they were never going to care wether I was satisfied or not. I was never going to have them work on my trailer again, so I didn't say anything; there was no one around who cared anyway. Hooked up my trailer and took it home to repair their repairs

When I got home, I opened the door again and the gas prop bracket ball broke off; the other side is bent also and will probably need repair in the future. The bracket had been bent when they ran into it but didn't bother to repair it: now I know why Rob Knudtsen didn't come out to go over the repairs.

No, never, ever will I return to Mike Thompson RV. The have an arrogant/uncaring attitude, bordeing on elitism. Their work is less than factory quality. The sealant around the door frame looked as though a 3rd grader had applied it, as I said, the brackets were bent and the decal on the door did not match up to the existing ones.

I can reason why such shoody work and deception. It was only a $25,000 mid range trailer and they didn't need my business anyway as there were many many high dollar RVs there for repair. wonder how many came back bcause they weren't repaired correctly the first time

Mike Thompson RV did not deal with me in a competent manner and were every quick to dismiss me as a customer due to my cheap rig, a rig I paid cash for, by the way. I don't need to be treated as royalty but respect, integrity and honesty are not much to ask for. Mike Thompson RV lacks all three.
