Complaint Review: MILANO DESIGN - CALABASAS California

I have been servicing for many years diffrent kind of clientels from the super rich and famues to the stonesifers !!! durring this period my moto was allwys been to do it with love and passion or not to do it at all. i have never met in my life a cupple such as the stonesifers, we took there old shitty look like box home and totaly design it and my i say that i am still need to get paid over $10,000.00 for my design fees and time that i have spend with this horrible gravy train cupple. or addtional money for our extra work we did for them.!!!

in my line of work i have done jobs for very ultra famues celebs, pro athleth ,mega millionares ,law enforcments officers, laweyes ,bankers ,and even doing right now a major job for a suprior court justice judge !!!

all of them will be more then happy to host me in there home and to reffer me if needed.

 i allwyes left with an open door to them. but just like the real life there is allways a rotten apple in every bunch and the same is Mrs Stonsifer or should i call her stony since thats the nick name she chossen to hide under but guess what ? its fits her general look and the way she runs her life.!!! just like an attantion junky she was runing to try to get our attantion trying to kiss and hug us , when the husbend wasnt home i hope you read it kevin so youll know who your dealing with. (we can easly prove it and i chalenged you for it ) durring our work we asked for money upon complition of work and as we moved with the job we got more items to renew in the house. which dont make logical sense for her claim, think about it !!!

i can HAPPILY tell you that the stonesifers claim was REVOKED WITH NO FURTURE CLAIM over the libilty company base on the fact the the happly ever after cupple MODIFED the job site and that the inspactor didnt really seen the ' so called big damage" in the house and decided to kick her out the door from any future claim.

MRS STONESIFER also knowen as Drama queen made sure that even the bond and the Contractor state board will ask her to stop call them and run any kind of info transfer via mail ,since she was keep bullying them over the phone. once again i urge the happly ever gravy train cupple to prove i am wrong.

s that when you have cavier dreams and beer budget dont choose me since i know how to fight for my money and please dont try to modify any work that we did since will have the abilty to prove it

and to you mrs stony please dont lie any more since i dont want to take your family traSH in the public and i have tones of it for you trust me. try to play the game honestly and by the rules. who knowes what we will come out next time mybe somthing about a cancer dieing family memeber you wanted to make money from your refferl to me or some gas union workers you try to bring over to your home for asmall kiss  or just to look at your kitchen i am sorry you dont do quiky even you tried to... in war both sides loose i tried to pull my hands in peace many times with out no luck. keep your dispute clean without no lies

Since filing our previous report the California License board suggessted that we have every aspect of the work that was performed by Milano Design inspected.  We recently had the electrical and plumbing work inspected and not to our supprise we have many problems in both areas. 

The copper re-pipe work was not even completed, there is 30 feet of galvanized pipe still up in our attic and no pipe clamps.  Also no insulation to prevent copper pipes from coming in contact with metal or wood.  The plumbing work that was done under our sink was done completly wrong and not to code.  The shut off valve for the dishwasher is behind the built in dishwasher which is not accessable. 

We also have may problems with the electrical work which was also not completed to code.  The two new exhaust fans that were installed in the bathrooms were installed with direct venting into the attic instead of through the roof of our home. GFI outlets were not installed in the kitchen in 4 areas and also not installed in guest bathroom.  No grounding wire that bonds the water pipe.  These are just a few of the overwhelming not up to code problems.

Here we are now 5 months after this shoddy remodel job and we are still waiting for action from the California License board and the bonding company.  Mr. Halifi still remains defient and has even called us, in writing, con artists just looking to milk him out of money!! We have had professional licensed contractors come to our home and inspect Mr. Halifi's work and they have been appalled and disguisted at what he has left us with.  The masony contractor stated in writing that this contractor has no reguard for personal safety reguarding our fireplace.  He stated that it was the most irresponsible job he has ever seen in his 22 years of experience.

Mr. Halifi told us that no permits needed to be pulled for any aspect of this remodel which was not true.  We know way he did not pull any permits, it's because he knew no inspector would sign off on any of his poor work.

We have learned alot through this process and one thing we would highly recommend if you are planning to do any type of remodeling, check the License throughly and do not go with a license that is set up as a corporation.  We learned that Mr. Halifi has never taken the California State License exam and his license would be suspended if he does not have a RMO, (Responsible Managing Officer) who did not know anything about our shoddy remodel job and should have been here supervising the entire job.  Once the RMO found out what had been going on he quickly disassociated himself from Milano Design and at the point Mr. Halifi's license would have been suspended in 90 days unless he filled his RMO poistion.  This is very deseptive to the consumer because MR. Halifi represented himself as a License Contractor.

We are honest hard working people who put our trust in Mr. Halif and were left with a remodel job that goes beyond poor workmanship.  This man is untrustworthy, untruthful, and uneducated with regards to remodeling.  Mr. Halifi is the most difficult, exsaperating, bullheaded person we have ever dealt with and does not listen to his clients.

Well let me first start by saying that i am the owner of the company and i am proud of it.!!!

this is a case of a client that is trying to milk my company for the last 2 months. and also avoiding payments.

during our construction work and after  MRS. DIANNE AND MR. KEVIN STONESIFER constantly tried to use my workers  behind my back without my permission and knowing and approving for different works to be done on the regular and after hours  (by trying to fake different the work was done by a lic. contractor).

at the end they did use some of them " with the crappy job we are doing"lol
stated to us that she hired a license contractor with bond and insurance to work on the job site ( we have an amazing e mail were they admitting this issue ).

also most  the payment were made upon completion of stages were we got 9 payments (any one can understand that no one would have given this amount of money upon completion of stages if job wasn't great and he was  not happy)!!!

i ask the lady to show all of us the pictures of before and after of every part of the house so you can decide of the quality of the job or maybe i will publish her personal home address so you can view it by your self.

we asked for many times to meet the stonesifers, with no luck and were and still are more then willing to bring the CLSB to the table. but all the lady want is that we will work on a deal to milk money from us or as her husband sayed in there e mail " We just want to be compensated for what we feel is fair." this was the e mail that i got!!!

i guess this is the life in 2009 when the economy is down for us contractors, were we need to deal with scam artists and cones people like the Stonesifers. which were looking not to pay there payments ( which she still need to complete )

we carry full licenses and bonds and liability insurance. as the law required.
