MILLS FORD BAXTER MINNESOTA 6.0 Diesel Repair RIPOFF Baxter Minnesota
DO NOT TRUST MILLS FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT!
I HAVE RECEIPTS TO PROVE IT
I paid MILLS FORD in Brainerd MN $9282.27 on 08/2012 on invoice #17654165 for 6.0 diesel engine updates that caused EGR issues. The issues are common with this Ford 6.0 diesel engine, they do MANY of these repairs. They told me that once these repairs were completed that I would not have EGR issues again.
Now 09/2014 only 30,000 miles later, the check engine light is on AGAIN! MILLS FORD is asking for another $2800.00 to fix the same EGR problem AGAIN!
My invoice from MILLS FORD is available for anyone to inspect. I mistakenly trusted MILLS FORD service department, I deeply regret my decision!
I feel that they failed to repair the truck correctly the first time. I received a call from the service writer from MILLS FORD informing me that my intake manifold, EGR valve and EGR COOLER are all plugged up with carbon, same as the first time. He stated that my intake manifold should have been boiled out when they repaired the truck the first time. He also stated that the reason they didn't was because they didn't remove the manifold.
That was a lie!
They did the all of the 6.0 Diesel updates and that meant that the intake was removed. Now he states that the intake manifold should have been cleaned but they didn't do it the first time because they didn't want to charge an additional $150.00.
Just imagine that, I'm paying $9282.27 and the "lack" of service manager felt it in his heart to save me $150.00 by not cleaning out the intake manifold. Thereby INSURING that I would be back to their shop AGAIN in the near future.
PAYING THEM MORE MONEY!
The service manager "Joe" called me and stated "we are not going pay for these repairs."
So MILLS FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK!
AVOID MILLS FORD! Certainly avoid their "lack" of service department.
I will AVOID the MILLS NAME ENTIRELY MOVING FORWARD.
