Mitsubishi Motors Credit Of America Excess Phone Calls SST Carol Stream Illinois
A few months after purchasing new 2002 Eclipse, Mitsubshi turned my account over to SST. SST is not a collection agency, but you would certainly think they were. If I am more than five days late on a monthly due date, I receive up to four or five calls a day on both my home phone and work phone.
This practice still occurs even though I have NOT been more than 30 days behind a payment in the last year(with the exception of one payment that was 31 days late.) SST really started to turn up the heat on phone calls once they calculated that it was not to my advantage to refiance.
BTW, DO NOT EVER FALL FOR BALLON PAYMENT OPTIONS WHEN BUYING A NEW CAR. KEEP YOUR JUNK CAR AND SAVE MONEY. AND ESPECIALLY DON'T EVER DEAL WITH Mitsubishi Credit. THEY WILL TURN YOU OVER TO SST. NO WONDER MITSUBISHI IS GOING BANKRUPT. SO FAR I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY DISUADED FOUR PEOPLE FROM BUYING FROM THEM.

I purchased a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse, must have been the wrong year! I made all my payments + additional payments to pay the car off as quickly as possible. I was or still am a Registered Nurse and started having health problems, which I continued to work for the next year and kept up my payments Plus and Then my husband decided to skip the country with all our assets, and at this time was out of work due to my health. I had between the money that I had in the bank and what my estranged husband sent me, kept up all my Bills. Including my car payment Plus. The first late I had, I got a call from them 2 days late then 8 days late, but between then, I was going to make a payment and they told me at the 2 days late I could not make just a single payment, I had to make an additional payment and I believe penalties, resulting in a payment of 1009.00. Now my payment was only 372.00 rounded up. I had been instructed by my doctor to apply for disability. I had to give up my apartment, I had filed for divorce awaiting that to go somewhere. However, even with my additional payments they never once tryed to work with me, they went straight for the car. I was under a great deal of stress with my own health, divorce, my Mother was in the dying process. But I did contact them to find out what the payment would be to get it on course, I believe I was 90 days out, A friend was going to help me get it back on track, but they put it as almost 2400 and my friend could not go that, so they said it was a promise I made and closed the account on me. oN TOP OF THAT I GAVE THEM WHERE I WORKED AND THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD NOT CALL THEM , WELL THEY DID AND THAT WAS THE END OF THAT STORY. IT WAS HARD ENOUGH TO FIND SOMETHING I COULD PHYSICALLY DO!! Leaving me to pay the balance and I am going off my credit report of 13000.00 rounded up. So they called day and night all that time, threathened me, harassed my family , my children, these people do not care what they do. I even tried to get a payoff to refinance and they would not respond. But then they had their vultures calling day and night with all their threats. God Bless anyone that has anything go wrong in their life. SST never made any offers of deferring the principle and letting me make interest payments to catch me up some. Which most people I have talked to had that offered to them. I WILL NEVER PAY EXTRA ON ANYTHING. But then what they have done to my credit I will have to pay cash from here on out for along time. ANY HELP OUT THERE OR GOOD ADVICE!!
