I am the owner of a Mix Stirs franchise in the Bronx, NY and totally discredit everything you are claiming about Mix Stirs & Mike Greenberg. I became involved under Amazon but opened up as a Mix Stirs and have had nothing but positive results. Mike & his staff have been with me every step of the way and as we are completing our first year in business he is still very much a support to the ongoing business. As a absentee owner I really heavily on the support of Mike & his staff to help train new employees, etc. As for your comment on divide and conquer, Mike has no problem with franchisees talking to each other and he encourages it. I have built relationships with many other owners. He also encourages potential franchisees to call franchise owners and speak to them to find out their opinions of the business and whats going on. On another note franchises copy each other.... Take a look at McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King....sell the same product under different names. Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, Quiznos, it's called free enterprise. We can even go as far as car dealerships......same cars...different names....cost more money. For anyone looking to own a franchise this is a great business opportunity and I highly recommend it....Can't wait to open my next Mix Stirs. Ann

My name is Matt McCrerey and I was one of the people that were screwed by Amazon Systems. I opened my Amazon Caf in Pittsburgh in 2003 and am still open to this day. In 2005, I became the Master Developer for Amazon Caf for Western Pennsylvania. It cost me a lot of money and I had to borrow on my business to pay Amazon Systems for it. In 2007, I was notified by Amazon Systems that they were going out of business and I was free to do whatever I wanted with my store and the Amazon Caf name and that my Master Development agreement was worthless. I had spoken to Mike Greenberg a number of times when I was with Amazon Caf so I called him and asked him what he was doing as I knew he was the Master Developer for New York. He told me that he was starting his own company called MixStirs and planned on concentrating on the juice bars in the gyms. He said that the investment was much lower in the gyms and the overhead was lower. He showed me his business plan and it made total sense. He had a great relationship with New York Sports Club and told me that he was going to open dozens of these types of locations in the next few years. At the same time a couple of guys had just signed on with Amazon Caf to open a store in Pittsburgh. I don't know all the details but they spoke with Mike and eventually opened up as a MixStirs so they must have thought it was a good idea. I told Mike I liked his ideas with MixStirs and I wanted to know if we could discuss my store and MixStirs. He said that his focus was not on the full blown stores because of the high cost compared to the gym locations but since he was going to be opening the other location in Pittsburgh as a MixStirs it made sense. Mike has really done a lot to help me. He basically gave me a Master Development deal for Western Pennsylvania for nothing. He said that he thought it would be great if I could work with him and help with the other store in Pittsburgh and because we got screwed by Amazon Systems he didn't think it would be fair to ask us for anything. He said that he is trying to build a strong company with strong franchisees and that based on the fact that I still had my store after four years and it was doing great that I was the type of guy he wanted to help him build MixStirs. Since signing on with MixStirs I have been working with Mike and the company is really growing. I am just finally converting my store over to MixStirs (it cost a bunch of money) and Mike is coming down to help me get everything changed over and open. I think whoever wrote this doesn't even know Mike but is blaming him for something that he had nothing to do with. From the discussions I have had with other MixStirs franchisees they all seem to think he is doing a great job. They say he jumps through hoops for them and is always there to support them. Every one of the franchisees that I have talked to is excited about MixStirs and excited about growing with the company. Most of them are opening 2nd and 3rd locations. As for the comment about keeping the franchisees divided it is quite the opposite. We talk to each other by e-mail and phone all the time. Mike is even setting up some kind of comment board on the website so that we can post ideas for each other and be able to communicate quickly with all of the franchisees. I don't know who you are, because you hide your identity, but you really should get your facts together before making comments that are untrue about people. If any one reading this has any questions they can feel free to call me at my store at 412-434-6830. My name is Matt McCrerey and I am the owner.

I don't know who is writing this garbage but they are liars. I bought a franchise from Amazon Caf and am now a MixStirs. I have been lucky enough to been dealing with Mike from the beginning and am very happy. He does everything I need and always helps me. He always picks up fruit and stuff for me from Restaurant Depot when I need it. I have never seen a franchise help so much like Mike. I don't understand what you mean by the franchisees don't talk to each other. I talk to them all the time. I buy extra cups for the Bronx and she comes and picks them up all the time. We buy other stuff together too. My store is doing very good and I am opening two more real soon and do not have time to waste typing on computer but you make me so mad with your garbage that I have to write. Mike has good locations with New York Sports Club for us to open in. The locations he picks are really good and that is why we do so good. If you want to ask me questions you can call me (((ROR redacted))). I do not see name or phone number of idiot who wrote this garbage. Idiot can't even run a store so he blames other people. He should stop wasting time and fix his problems himself instead of bothering us.
