I worked for this company, started valentines 08 my gift and my curse was that i was good. I was too good i would ring my bell 90% of the time. I rang the bell in rain, sleet, hail, snow, 100 degree weather and anything thrown my way. though little by little I could see the truth, its hard not to.
I sold product (toys books tools knives), make up, and fast wax. I was regarded as the one who could ring the bell in any group. but what they didnt tell me is that selling knives gets you arrested in nyc. Me and my partner spent 5 hours in a precent and the cops schooled us on what we were doing and about venders permits that we didnt have ( luckly they lets out with a warning). I mentioned to my boss and he said " ok just do go there anymore". Now when bums complains i didnt listen but when people who ring the bell complain I listened. we started selling damaged products the ones the wack leaders brought back but we where charging full price and settling up full price this made a hard job harder .
The final nail in the coffin was when I was in a car crash i broke three bones (lower vertaebrae) in my back and could hardly walk with out meds. It happened on a friday i came back monday, I came back and still rang my bell, but pushing a cart is tough not to mention up a flight of stairs. I wanted to move in fast wax or make up but they wanted me in product saying thats where i started and thats where i was strongest, but it was really because product was doing horrible and only managers where moving anything. I had a pending lawsuit from the crash so I had to go to therapy or you dont get alot of money in the settelment. innovage didnt care they wanted me there. i tried to both but it felt impossible the managers were saying i was making up my injuries even though my car was a cube on cube island somewhere now. So I left
How do repay me for my hard work, they dont send me a copy of my 1099 and file it themselves so i couldnt put deductions now I owe the IRS alot of money and have till april 7 to pay it. Im learning now that the only ones they dont lie to is the goverment but they grossly overstated what i made almost as if it was 50/50 knowing noone keeps the pink paper you get after working all day. if any one can help me let me know
