M&M Painting Owner: Mark Zimmerman Not getting paid for hours worked and unethical business practices Rpion Wisconsin
I started working for Mark Zimmerman on 11-4-2013.I worked for 27 1/2 hoursfor which I have been paid.The following week I worked 19 hours. For which I have not been paid.The last day I worked was on 11-15-2013.I called Mark on 11-16-2013 and told him that I did not want to work in this unethical manner- For example only paint half down a wall because the customer don't see it right away.Paint splatters on counter tops etc because he wouldn't take the time to lay a tarp on it.This he has done repeatedly-.Mark stated that we would just depart and he told me he would cut me a check.He previously said he was paying the following week for work done this week.So Ididn't call until 11-22-2013 and left a message that perhaps we could meet some where and I would return his 4 t-shirts and he could give me a check.I never got a call back and previously he responded to my calls within a short while.And he now wont answer the phone and obviously doesn't plan on paying me.
A little background I had worked with Mark about 1 1/2 years earlier.We were to paint the exterior of a house that I was informed had been pressure washed scraped and primed.So I picked up a can of finish paint and a brush from the garage walked up to the house and was prepared to paint.I noticed there were many places where the paint was chipping away and there was raw wood underneeth. So i stated this had had to be properly scraped and primed first he told me to "just paint it".At that point I took the paint and brush sat it in the garage and said "I had to go"So now back to presentMark called me about 3 or 4 weeks ago and asked if I wanted to work.We agreed on a dollar amount.The one thing I stated was that I wouldn't do work in an unproffesional way.He stated that he was working proffessionaly now.It has become obvious that Mark Zimmermn does not have a problem sayng whatever he wants you to hear or he,s a fricken LIAR.I have over thirty years experience in the trade I have never done work like that and aint going to start now.Unfortunately I believed him when he said he did things professionaly now.Oops my bad.I really do hope you guys can convince this idiot to pay me what he owes me.At which point I don't ever want to see him or hear from him again.Thank you for your time.
