Mobile 1 Lube Express Went in for an oil change- left with a blown engine:( Peoria Illinois
I went into Mobile 1 Lube Express to get an oil change done on 8/18/2017. I was only at this facility for about 20-30minutes. I paid for my oil change and left. On 9/21/2017, I started experiencing some issues with my car making sounds. My check engine light came on and went off but it started to knock.. The knocking continued to get harder and louder. I work for a trucking company so on 9/22/2017 I had one of my job mechanics check the basics on my car to see if it was something major. My filters were new there are no holes in my oil pan. My oil pan was dry- Not one drop of oil in it!! I called Mobile 1 on North Knoxville to speak to a manager. Gerrard proceeded to tell me there was no manager on duty and to call back. I called about 3 times every hour until I finally talked to a Drew or Andrew who claimed to be the manager. I explained to Drew what was going on. He proceeded to tell me to drive my car wit no oil in it to his business on North Knoxville. I explained to him my check engine light came on I didn't feel comfortable driving it. This manager told me that the cars leave in the condition they are brought in. I told him my check engine light didn't come in until the 21st. I have had my car for almost 5years. I have never ever had this happen before. I have only went to this establishment twice. I will never go there again and I will report them in any way to get this issue resolved. I am looking into taking legal action.
