I regret wasting time and money with this company, normally I do more research but I guess I was in too much of a hurry to get our older vehicle running correctly again without spending too much. The low price should have been a warning sign. The charged $160 up front, only $38 was refundable. The following day after they received my module, they sent an email and said the cpu was bad and it wasn't repairable but they could sell me another rebuilt module for $599.
That is when alarms went off for me, because I had already searched for new ones, which can be bought for less than $450. When I asked why a different rebuilt one was so much more than a new one, their sales person gave a list of reasons, $250 for another used module, a $200 programming fee. This module does NOT require programming! I had verified this with an auto dealer and also when I eventually purchased a new one it did not need to be programmed.
He also gave me an unprofessional, high pressure, sales pitch about how a new module would cost $550 + $200 for programming (both not true). He only stopped his sales pitch and agreed to return my module and give a partial refund when I said he wasn't being honest about this module needing programming. When I did receive my old module back from them, it appeared to be untouched (the protective coating on the bottom hadn't been removed and there is no way to disassemble this module without removing that).
Hopefully this report, along with all the others like it online for "AES Modules" or "Module Experts", will help save someone else from wasting money and time with them.
