I have NEVER filed a ripoff report, or even given a bad review on yelp, until now.  I think it's bad karma and a waste of time.  But in this case, I'm making an exception as I feel it's my duty to warn others.

I should have asked for a refund the day I found out linkedin closed the loophole that their software was designed to exploit.  I did everything they asked me to, investing over 100 hours trying to get it to work and now they are giving me the run around and refusing to honor their money back guarantee.  $1200 and 100 hours down the drain.  Beware.

Here are the details:

I purchased the mojo marketing software on 9/9/15 in three installments of $397.  They offered a 45 day money back guarantee but required us to sign an agreement saying we would actually use the software before asking for a refund. Fair enough.

They were explicit in their sales webinar that the software works by exploiting a "loophole" (my words) in linkedin that allows you to send messages directly to people outside your personal network through groups.  Before enrolling I asked what would happen if linkedin decided to close that loophole and my salesperson gave me all sorts of reasons why that would not happen.  Three days later it did.  I never heard from him again.

They said the software would still work, but the optimal way to make it work was to enroll for linkedin's "sales navigator" which costs $60 a month.  I couldn't really afford that, but I wanted the software to work very badly.  So I did as much preparation as I could and as soon as I had budget, I signed up for sales navigator.

I attended all the required training webinars and did all the preparation work.  That consumed about 40 hours of my time over the first 2 weeks.  I paid the additional $60 to sales navigator, and started to try to use the software and got on as many of the ongoing support webinars as possible.  Nonetheless, I found that it was difficult for me to actually run it.  It wasn't anywhere near as easy to "push the money button" as they claimed.  The software was supposed to run in the background seamlessly, but it bogged down my system so badly I could barely do my regular work.  

I availed myself of the support from online chat numerous (as in dozens!) times.  Finally, just out of curiosity I asked about my operating system and Nico informed me that because IE doesn't run well on Vista that the mojo software can't be used with Vista.    In the initial sales webinar they were very clear that the software doesn't run on Mac, so why they didn't warn vista users at the beginning I have no idea.  

At this point my 45 days was almost up and I had barely gotten any connection requests out.  Nico kindly offered to give me 45 more days to get it to work.   At this point I had probably invested close to 100 hours trying to get it to work.  



Once we finally got the software moved to my fiance's computer (not convenient at all, but I was determined to make this work) I was finally able to start "pushing the money button."  I kept engaging with Renee and others to adjust my strategy and kept hoping for results.  I sent out a few thousand requests and only got back messages from people who appeared to be using a similar or same system and they were pitching me on buying their products, not inquiring about mine.

I was still determined.  I made an adjustment and targeted HR directors instead of owners,  same issue.  I was still determined and then the software stopped loading on my computer.  I got on chat with Renee and she said it was my computer and not the software and she couldn't help.  When I tried again the next day, they asked me to set an appointment for later in the day, but my schedule was full for the next three days.  At that point, I was just done.

I have now asked 6 times for a refund and all they keep doing is offering to set me up on another one of their programs and give me a few months free.  I explicity refused this offer and requested my money back again, and last week I got an email with my set up instructions on that software.  

If I find myself in Phoenix on business any time soon, I'm going straight to the courthouse and file a small claims suit.

Once my complaint finally got to the owners, I was pleasantly surprised.  They beleive in their product so much they offered to buy me a new computer that will run the software.  

I just picked it up and have an appointment to start fresh this week.  I am hopeful that I can get the results that so many of their clients are getting.  Stay tuned!
