Home Depot uses several differn't contractor's depending on which state you live in... they have several hundred stores throughout the U.S. keeping track of status of every contractor's license at every store would be next to impossible, and since Home Depot is cutting jobs thier is even less people avail did you contact Home Depot Corporate office and report this situation? I'm sure if you called Home Depot Services ... explain that the person is unlicensed and they tried to sell you another brand so they wouldn't be paid... they would immediately remove that contractor.. to be fair.. I have had Home Depot services done on my home through several contractors Trane (Bel-Red Heating Seattle, wa) Garage doors (Martin doors) Countertop replacement (Precision countertops) and the advantage of going through them.. I (the Customer pays Home Depot) the Contractor Does *NOT* Get PAID. for his work. until after it is completed and the customer signs off.. then Home Depot releases the funds to the contractor.
