I was referred to Haider and Omar, owners of Motorsports Auto Sales, on a day when I needed a car in a hurry.  These men said they would give me a great deal on a Nissan Altima 03' with 134,000 miles.  It was priced for $8900.  They clearly said to me, you can only get approved for $5500 for the financing so you need to come up with the rest in cash as a down payment.  I didn't have it then but promised to pay them when I got my financial aid.  I paid them a few weeks later in cash ($3450).  When I was finalizing and signing the paperwork, I noticed that the Total Selling Price said $11,700, when I asked Hector, who was processing the paperwork, about that he said, oh no, that is with interest, you are walking out the door with everything at $8300.  We took care of you girl!

2 days later the car started to drive terribly. It lagged when I tried to accelerate, it rattled and made a wierd sound, like a playing card in the spoke of a bicycle.   I had only driven this car for about 60 miles from the day I bought it.  I took it to a friend who owns an auto service, it was bone dry on oil.  There were no drippings in my garage and there was no spoke.???  Hmmm.....They changed the oil and I was on my way.  It drove better for about 5 days.

Day 7...bone dry on oil.  My friend and I added 3 quarts.....I'm beginning to get worried....

Day 24....I have had enough with filling this car with oil just to keep it running, I take it back to them.  They are fingerpointing and saying 'this is a good car!'.  The other owner, OMAR Kadheer, said I'll drive it for a few days myself and see....

Day 26....They say your car is all fixed, we replaced a few things....problem was that the oil was spraying out of the hole where the oil gets put in... The screw on top was stripped and so the oil just sprayed out.

Day 30....I call them to tell them I want them to buy the car back.  It has taken enough of my time and money, they said come in and we'll take care of you!  I go in and they said let's get a payoff amount from the financing company.  I did that but to my surprise, it was not $5500, it was $8300.  Omar said oh, because of your bad credit they charged you the entire interest charge up front, we will not pay all of that....sorry about your luck but we only got $8700 for the car..not much we can do.  When I reveiwed the paperwork later at home, I see that they had listed the car for $10,112 as the selling price and with taxes, GAP, Documents, the car cost me $11,700!  The $8300 number that Hector said was the final price was the 'total financing'.  They tricked me and knew i trusted them so I was dupped.

Omar the owner said to me when I brought the contract up and what Hector told me "Did you sign the talk or the paper?'.  I have a car I can't sell because it needs massive repairs possible a new engine, I have no money since I gave them all my financial aid ($3450).   I have 2 little girls to support and drive to and from school.  I am devestated.  I trusted these men and they have taken everything from me.  I have an $8300 auto loan on a car that is worth maybe half of that.  I cannot finance another, buy another, drive this one.  The 'as is' terminology gives me no protection and gives them the ability to say sorry, and move on.
