Update 3 Sept 08. After visiting the general manager to discuss the deal. The dealership agreed to buyback the vehicle "AS IS" for the full purchase price, however, It cost us $900+ for flight, room, and rental car, $250 for a letter of Rescission and Release from a lawyer, and we agreed to pay a $838 fee for towing and impound as the vehicle was mysteriously impounded the day after my son deployed. A $12000+ mistake was turned into a $2000 mistake. The dealership made good a very bad deal. Anyone making a major purchase should take the time to research the item, read all of the fine print, have the contract reviewed by a third party before signing. Any verbal statements by the salesman become void once you sign. Don't be affraid to haggle the price of any and all charges. It's always best to sleep on it before you make any major purchase. When in doubt walk away. Proceed with caution when arranging for financing through a dealership. Always check your insurance rate before you buy!! Have your mechanic check the vehicle over and review any warranty before you sign. There's a bunch of warranty companys that only cover internal engine part failures, that's about 3% of all engine failures. Look at it this way, a vehicle is a tool, purchased to get you from point A to B. Do you really need to spend money you dont have, to buy something you dont really need, to impress people that dont really care about you anyway.

The general manager responsible for this dealership sounds like an okay guy. He is working on resolving the problem with a seized motor. He has offered what seems to be a reasonable solution for repairing this car and getting back on the road. I based this complaint on the salesman saying my son was on his own, when a call to the general manager would have resolved this problem. I do wish this report would go away, my bad for not reading the fine print here. Motorsports Inc and their associates have been doing business with the military for years and were shocked to read my initial complaint. I have be assured that we can resolve this issue in a timely and cost effective manner.

Second sentence should have read: Do not buy a car from this dealer. I am not accusing all used car dealers of being shady.
