All of these reports are completely right. I am regretting not doing my research before going in for my interview.

I saw an ad on a jobing website and decided to give it a shot and figured it'd be a great part-time job as a college student. As a student with a major in television, I thought this would be a great opportunity.

I went in and Lance Jarrell started talking very professional and I was convinced this was a legit company. He then went on to say how 'beautiful,' I was and wanted to do a photoshoot right away. Not so fast... $300!!! So being a poor college student, I rescheduled to a date in which I would have the money. I called a parent, begged them for this money and went to the shoot. The shoot went well and was under the impression that my money was well spent.

Not exactly.

I went in to check out my prints and they wanted even MORE money. I spoke with both parents on the phone while in the room picking out which photos I wanted on my 'online portfolio.' I questioned Lance about why I was paying even MORE money after already spending $300 and he gave me some line about the pictures needing to be photoshopped and blah, blah blah. I didn't pay another dime. I am scheduled to pick up my prints soon days but I will not be back.

I WISH WISH WISH that I researched the company before stepping foot into the office. After reading other reviews, I am so embarrased and what other people have said only confirms my thoughts of suspinsion.

MovieNow Casting and How they get you...

1)You will see the office is located inside an office building so it gives a sense of relief. Notice how it's located OUTSIDE the office building with a seperate entrance. 2)Once you're in the office you will see movie posters and "extras," that have worked in those movies. Total lie. They do this to look legit. 3) They will sound professional, shake your hand, show you a newspaper article about all the film studios starting to film here, etc. They will show you all these emails from companies looking for talent in commercials, movies, print ads, etc. You will begin to think they are honest people. 4) Once they see they've got you right where they want you, they start talking about the photo shoot. You believe them when they tell you it's a great deal and that an agency would charge you thousands. WRONG. DING DING DING. I wish a light bulb went off in my head then and walked out before signing any papers. They may even ask to do that shoot that day and you won't believe how much their eye lit up when they say "Cash or credit?" Who has $300 to waste like that?!? Overall, look for the red flags. They are taking advantage of people looking for a fun, part-time job. They will claim once you get your shoot and prints, you will automatically be reimbursed for your first session, but that session won't come- they just want your money. STAY AWAY!!
