I contracted for labor through MovingHelp.com, a subsidiary of Uhaul.  I had rented 7 pods and MovingHelp.com calculated that a 2-man crew and 4 hours of labor would be needed to load the containers at a cost of $320.

When the movers arrived, only 4 pods were onsite and the rest would be delivered shortly.  The movers complained right away that they "can't wait around for the rest of the containers" because they had another job scheduled in two hours.  That's when the problems started.  They insisted that they get paid by the container and I believed I would get 4 hours of work.

They then started loading the containers and supposedly were done in 1 1/2 hours  They did not want to wait around for the rest of the containers and simply left me hanging.  They also said that I needed to give them the payment code and that it would be pro-rated for the work they did.  They literally stood over me for 30 minutes while I tried to find the code and then left.  5 minutes later, the remaining containers arrived and I was stuck without workers.

After they left, I rated their service 4/5 stars and posted:  All the pods were not on site, so movers left after working only 1.5 hours. Does not appear to be any coordination between uhaul delivery and movers. How do I get my refund?

After reading my review, Josh called my phone and started yelling at me "How dare you leave a bad review!" Still insisting that they were paid by the pod not the hour, he wanted to refund $135.  I thought I should only have to pay them their normal rate of about $50/hour for 1.5 hours or $75.  Especially since they completely "cherry picked" the job and loaded the four containers that were there with all the easy stuff.  Boxes, and pillows and very little furniture.  They did not disassemble or stage anything.  When we unpacked the containers, we found that several of them were still very empty in the back and were simply filled to the brim in the front where you couldn't see it.  All in all, they did a TERRIBLE JOB for me.  I just wish I could change the review I originally left.

After not receiving any refund from them, I disputed the amount that I had paid to MovingHelp.com.  After a bank review, MovingHelp.com claimed that because I gave the payment code to the helpers, there was nothing they could do.  They had already dispensed all the funds to Reliable & Safe Moving.

Bottom line, I was RIPPED OFF  for $320 for 1.5 hours of work and MovingHelp.com did nothing to assist me.  I will NEVER use them again!
