This is very sad, but let me explain what happened. I am a hairdresser and once did this in my early "learning" years. See, every color has a "undertone" color of purple, blue or neutral. There are also "undertone" colors of red and orange, but these are rarely used. Say someone has dark or medium brown hair and wants to go blond. A blond color with a undertone of blue would be used. The undertone blue would counteract the red as the hair gets lighter and the end result would be blond, not strawberry blond. Most people need these undertone blues and purples to counteract the red.
But blonds are different. Blonds don't need the undertones of blues and purples to counteract red. You see, whether you went lighter or darker, there is no stage where your hair would have turned red, so the proper thing for her to do would have been to use a light brown shade with NEUTRAL undertone. No purple or blue. Unfortunately for you, she just didn't know this and was not experienced in color. It was an honest mistake and you shouldn't be calling her a jerk on a global forum. When I did this, in the eighties, I am thankful there was no internet yet.
This is bound to happen again to you, as many new stylists don't know that blond hair is tricky. (Most people try to go blond from a darker color, not the other way around) So in the future, make sure you tell your stylist to choose a brown or blonde (or whatever color you want) with a NEUTRAL base color(undertone). No purple or blue. Hope this helps.

I have been going to this salon for over 4 years with excellent results. This happened to me once somewhere else and was horrible so it happens. This is a wonderful salon with good products and caring stylists, especially Mr. John.

It's really horrible what happened to your hair, but I don't see how they ripped you off. It's obvious that the stylist didn't do a good job on your hair, but they didn't make you pay for it. What else did you want them to do? It sounds like the owner did what he could to help you. You just got a very crappy service that they didn't make you pay for. It happens all the tme.

You are simply a disgruntled issues-laden broad who also cannot spell worth a flying hoot. Anyway, when they ruined your hair they (1) did not make you pay for the services received AND (2) offered to fix the problem, also for FREE. You claim that the manager was rude to you. Oh you poor little thing, he was so incredibly rude to offer to give up hours of his time and lost income to accommodate your new frizzy purple hair style. Just because you chose not to accept his generous offer does not mean that you were ripped off! You simply look like a fool in sheep's clothing, or should I say in purple dinosaur's clothing! Tootle-loo!
