MWI Essentials, Memberworks, INC ripoff ripoff business from hell, ripped off and scammed, victimized many consumers Omaha Nebraska
Apparantly, when you order products over the phone, this company, MWI Essentials gets your info and charges you for a membership you never agree to.
I ordered OxyClean over the phone in February of 2002. Every month since then I have been charged $8.95 to my account.
I didnt even notice this until it caused an overdraft to my account, and my bank charged me $29 for the overdraft.
I have faxed the information that MWI have asked me to 3 times. They will not contact me, and when I contact them they say it could take up to 30 days to get a refund. (This, I assume, is becuase after 30 days your bank will not dispute it for you)
The BBB has nothing but GOOD things to say about this company! Even though, in 1999, the BBB dropped them, telling them they would have to go through certain procedures to be picked back up by the BBB.
This has happened to 100's of people. I have found lists of messages on message boards from people that got ripped off by this company. And I, apparantly, got lucky because most people were ripped off for $100's.
I just hope we can do something to stop these awful people.
