MWI Galleria USA ripoff - fraudulent unauthorized charge to checking account Stamford Connecticut
Upon reviewing online banking information,
discovered a charge which neither my wife or I could reconcile to anything we had bought online. I did a Google search on the name of the company shown on the charge, MWI*GALLERIA and was astounded to see all the links to reports of people being ripped off by this company. I went to the Ripped-Off Report site and read through the accounts of all the victems. I immediatly called the customer service number for my bank's online customers, and after going through several menus and explaining the situation a couple of times, got help with resolving things. It involves canceling my ATM/Check Card and getting new ones issued and a form to fill out to verify the disputed amount, which was the usual $139.95 - I figured out that how they got my account number was from an informercial for the Gopher reaching device which was being marketed out of Omaha, Nebraska, one of the operating locations of the scumbags at MWI.
