Dear Sirs: On 12/06/02 one of your marketers called my home number unsolicited at my dinner hour and attempted to sell me a membership in some program in which I was not interested. I told her repeatedly that I was not interested and finally had to tell her I was going to hang up and then I did so.
I thought no more about it until Dec. 28th when my "First USA" credit card bill came in and there was a charge on it from MWI*SIMPLE ESCAPES2. My husband and I discussed what could this charge be and neither of us could identify a purchase of $149.95 that we had made on that day for that amount.
Then I decided to go online and see if anything came up under the merchant name on the bill. Well, was I amazed, and I have discovered that I am just one more of the manny people who these scum bags have made unauthorized charges on their credit card account. I do not know how they got the card # because I did not give it to you.
I am appalled at the ease with which these people can screw the consumer and I want action taken.
