My Favorite Cleaners Owner Marnie Duenas Marnie Duenas lost items, poor service, rude, zero accountability, notorious, sham Irvine, California
My Favorite Cleaners on Quail Hill is by far the absolute worst practicing businesses that I have had the misfortune of using, bar none. It comes to no surprise that they have a grade of F with the better business bureau and that the first things that come up with an internet search are complaints. Now generally speaking, I am a very easy going customer. I try to conduct myself in a cool, collected and compassionate manner when dealing with members of the service industry. In short, Im not one to complain but finally My Favorite Cleaners has pushed me over the edge. I held my tongue when they habitually broke the buttons off my suits and I remained mum when I found strange vertical stains on my work shirts that just wont come out. However, recently the employees of my favorite cleaners simply lost a pair of $150.00 pants. One morning before work I went to put on my favorite pants which I had recently had dry-cleaned by My Favorite Cleaners on Quail Hill. I took off the tag and put them on like one would normally do with a pair of pants. Much to my surprise the pants felt absurdly tight and I looked the mirror and couldnt believe how ridiculous I looked. These were obviously not my pants. That very day I brought the mysterious pants to My Favorite Cleaners and told them that they had given me the wrong pair of pants and somebody had probably gotten mine. I told them not to worry about it but I would appreciate it if they would call me when they locate my pants which I assumed would be soon because very few people are going to be able to enjoy my favorite pair of dress pants. A couple of weeks pass and I check in with them and they tell me that its actually proving to be a difficult task to locate my pants because I had taken the tag off of the mystery pants. They actually blamed me for taking the tag off, who would have thought that it was actually my fault that they could not find my pants? I told them that I will be patient but I expect them to find my pant. I mean, its a fairly simple business transaction. I give them an object to clean, they clean it, I give them money and we both go on our marry way. As much as I empathize with the level of difficulty, its actually not my problem because that is exactly what I just paid them for. Now dont get me wrong; I believe that they searched for my pants, called the stores, called her other tall clients, etc and I appreciate the level of work that took, but it doesnt change the fact that I am out a pair of pants. Finally (over 2 months since submitting my original complaint) they give me a customer claim form which so eloquently confirms my worst fears. My favorite cleaners will pay absolutely nothing for anything that is lost, stolen or broken if you cannot provide them with the original receipt. Now please understand that I have never been an obsessive receipt collector especially for items that are over a year old (yesI learned a valuable lesson) however I assumed that it could do no harm to submit my claim form anyway and although I provided them with the brand and the location that I purchased the pants including the name of the salesman who could confirm its original price; nothing. When I say nothing, I mean nothing. Marnie Duenas runs an absolute sham of a business. My Favorite Cleaners is notorious on Quail Hill for horrendous customer service, ridiculous prices and most importantly..losing stuff. The worst part about their negligence is that when they lose things, they accept no accountability whatsoever.
