I purchased an expensive TV with the promise of a $500 gas rebate. I complied with registration rules and sent my gas receipts to My Free Travel beginning in August 2009.
My Free Travel has disqualified me but has not told my why. They have not sent me any rebates.
I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General of Minnesota. BBB revoked My Free Travel's accreditation on 12/30/09 and gave them an "F" rating, but they continue to rate Hort Financial Services "A". My Free Travel has not responded to the BBB or the Minnesota Attorney General's office.
I urge everyone with a similar problem to file complaints with their state attorney general's office and with the Federal Trade Commission, Comsumer Response Center, 600 Pannsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20580, telephone -877-382-4357, www.ftc.gov.
