tv ad-"mycleanpc.com-offered to locate & remove virus & speed up computer. Offered a 100% customer guarantee - "let us into you pc-we will clean out all"nasty" virus'es by morning. payment plan 3pmts of $176.99 in next 3 months(if unable to pay-"salesman" gives you a deal of one pmt of$179.99. Next day, found a FREE ANTISPY/VIRUS CALLED "SPYBOT" DOWNLOADED, AND NOT 12 HOURS LATER GAVE ME A PRINTOUT OF 52 "BAD" VIRUS, tROJANS", & ASSORTED HACKERS WITH dates of the invasions - not only did I register a dispute with MY bank, but it also confirmed other disputes I had made the past 9 months!
when called, Cyberdefender wanted to go back into my pc - "to see what had been found"(whick were taken out by Spybot) & I was afraid to let them back in-lest they REALLY put in some nasty stuff!
about a month later - supervisor said she would return my money, if I sent them an email, stating what "displeased" me! I DID get a physical address, "cause when I sent email-returned as a "ghost address!!
that was a month ago - no money back!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR "SPIEL"
