EDITOR’S COMMENT:  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, especially when consumers are truthfully warning other consumers about potential frauds, scams, rip-offs or the like by shady individuals or businesses.  Ripoff Report is by consumers, for consumers…and we want to keep it that way!  Unfortunately this Report was posted and, upon additional information, appears to have been primarily for the purpose of bullying or harassment.  In many instances Ripoff Report will reach out to the author of the Report to obtain further information.  In other instances, enough information is provided to Ripoff Report to warrant redactions without reaching out to the author.  Ripoff Report is working to combat tactics that are perceived to be cyberharassment, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and/or what is generally considered a “revenge post” as we do not condone such behavior.

The Report was brought to our attention and, upon review of compiled information (which will be done on a case by case basis without any obligation as resources allow), and at Ripoff Report’s sole discretion, information that did not conform to current policies and/or the identifying information relating to the individual(s) and/or business(es) named in this “Report” and any subsequent comments thereto have been editorially redacted as indicated by the following “(((REDACTED)))” or (((REDACTED DUE TO PERCEIVED HARASSMENT / REVENGE POST)))”.

CONSUMERS:  Be kind.  Keep it honest.  Keep it fair.  Stick to the facts.  Do your research.  Keep the dirty laundry in the laundry hamper…not on Ripoff Report.

PLEASED TO SEE SUCH EFFORTS?  YOU CAN HELP RIPOFF REPORT COMBAT THESE TYPES OF ISSUES:  Ripoff Report, as resources allow, is working towards combatting Cyberharassment, Cyberstalking, Cyberbullying and/or other problems such as what is generically called “revenge posts” that can be riddled with personal commentary and/or allegations that can be serious.   Ripoff Report would love to be able to timely address each and every review request we receive, however, this takes resources.  If you think this is a worth-while endeavor, we encourage you to make a donation so that we can expand the resources that we can devote to this project.  You can make a non-tax deductible donation by clicking HERE NOW or learn a little more by visiting our “Donate to our Efforts” page.  The more resources we have, the more resources we can devote to this project and other forward thinking and positive initiatives like it.

Thank you!

NOW TO THE EDITORIALLY REDACTED POSTING(S):

Beware of conducting business with (((REDACTED))) who charges publicists and clients a premium for editorial features. On several occasions (((REDACTED))) has charged myself and clients for editorials 300-500 words in length (which he stated in writing to me) when he pitched in working with me for my clients. Not only has he consistently lied about the publications that he will publish the editorials in, he has horrible grammar, does not spell check prior to publishing a few pieces but never what was promised.

He still to date has not paid me for the Press Kit he hired me for 5 weeks ago. He spends the money he is paid for upfront and when confronted for the money for his press kit he hired me for and a partial refund on the payment he received for 4 specific editorial articles and the radio interview he refused to pay. I forewarn any publicist before giving this man any money - do not listen to his promises - it reflects poorly on you as the publicist for your clients. And on top of it I forewarn any publication from ever giving him a contributing byline. He is full of lies and can not produce.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, April 28, 2017

Happy Friday, I am the owner of Scoop Vision, a media and branding in company. I’ve worked with some pretty big brands, athletes and musical artists. I’ve been in business for two years and this complaint is a blemish to something that’s been good.Firstly, the person who wrote this complaint has been identified. Ironically, upon our own private investigation we’ve learned that they have a track record in the industry as well as online as an extorter and distorter of facts. This includes developing bad business practices and making enemies out of clients.

They were actually mentioned on Ripoff Report: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/heather-nicole-west-party-planners-new-york-new-york-1021275

I was approached by the individual who filed this report. This individual, a NYC-based publicist reached out to me on the brand arm of my company, Scoop Vision Media.

We agreed to terms on getting her client, an independent music artist, placement in magazines. I charged them a fee of $500 that was paid upfront at the end of May 2016. They were promised placement in four magazines.

I got them three placements and the fourth one I did not get right away. I replaced that placement with another high ranking site. All of the work was completed within four months. The relationship did not start out bad, in fact I’ve done work with this company in the past. However, the person in charge of this company has a bad habit of lashing out at people when things are not done to their liking right away. As a result, there were time where they would send text messages lashing out, cursing and calling myself and my staff despicable names that I don’t believe should be mentioned in this post.

While the relationship was good, I asked the owner of the company to create a press kit that was never fully completed. I asked that they deduct that price for the press kit in the remaining balance that was still owed once my project was completed.

In between the work being done and the end date of project, the owner of this company tried to extort me and changed the pricing of what was owed to them and began to make threats of calling the police, suing me, taking me to court and a host of other things. They even contacted my employer, at the time at a top ranking company. This is completely and totally unprofessional. They’d even post things on my company’s social media page. I filed a police report. Once I found out that this whole ordeal was posted on your page, I even had a request for mediation at a local court to resolve this. The owner of the company never showed. I’m all for doing good business, but this is a headache. This seems like a bad movie in real life and not even worth the price of admission!
