I decided this company did not have what I needed. I am looking for a holistic dentist, and upon calling $5 co-pay Dental Plan, they do not have any holistic dentists in their network. Due to health problems, I am unable to see a conventional dentist. I started calling Healthcare National same company as $5 Co-Pay December 29th 2014 in order to cancel. When I told the operator what I needed, she transferred me to an answering service. Mind you, they will talk to you if you need anything else. The answering service says not to leave more than one message. I never received a call. I called back 3 more times. On the 5th of January, my account had been drafted. I sent a letter via fax stating to cancel the plan, and refund the money. They called my job, and told me they will not refund my money, because they pre-paid Metlife on the 25th of December. I asked how is that possible since the 25th was a holiday. I told the lady to let me speak with her supervisor. The supervisor got on the phone and said they pre-paid on the 27th. The 27th fell on a weekend; so how is that possible? I told her if that is the case, she can pro-rate the amount and refund the difference. The lady said, "we don't pro-rate anything. I told her that I called on the 29th. She said someone called me back; however, I did not see a missed call neither a voice message from them.

Mind you, I called in enough time for the draft to be stopped; since the company does not answer cancelation calls but only transfers the to an answering service, this gives the company an excuse to draft the account and keep the money for a service that the customer does not want.

This is not insurance; it is a dental plan; therefore, I should get a refund. Healthcare National seems desperate for money.
