Not sure where to start with this client but here it goes.  And please keep in mind that none of this is over-exaggerated...all information being said is exact!  

So I was contracted to provide creative services to the National Black MBA Association in Phoenix Arizona through a Alethea Sessions.  She was the person that was behind the negotiation of financing the project for their national conference that happened in Atlanta in early October 2011.  

Specifically we had come to the agreement that I provide the following services:





  • Enhanced Facebook Profile Image


  • Interactive ecommercial in multiple formats


  • Facebook page with video commercial embedded


  • EventBrite customization and setup.


  • Flier creation for event.
Now with any creative services there are changes which I understand.  And I provided a FEW rounds of changes to all creative content provided.  Then it came to almost the 6th change, and that is when I notified my client that there will be a charge incurred for anything beyond the original agreement that we had.  I was tasked to change facebook creatives, flier verbiage and edits, and complete re-rendering of the eCommercial video more than 3 times (which in itself is a very time intensive task). And...I performed ALL of the requested modifications WITHOUT any questions or hesitations.  It was a job that I was getting paid for so it had to be done...so I did it with quality and timeliness.

I proofread all content, and tested all interactive creatives to make sure that all was in-line to what was requested (I even took screenshots of what was done).  After all was completed I released the content to the client which was very very punctual with their requests on what they needed.  I delivered.

So after the event happened in Atlanta, I hear NOTHING from the client NBMBAA nor Alethea P. Sessions. I tried to contact via email, facebook, company website, and finally a phone call....NO RESPONSE.  

Please keep in mind that I sent my invoice BEFORE the event on multiple occasions; so there were no surprises and there was an understanding.

I still kept it very professional and sent my invoices again to both my clients personal email and also the organizations email account.  What did I get in return?

That was sent to me on October 12th, 2011...today is October 22nd, and I still have yet to hear ANYTHING! What type of "professional" organization is this?  In my opinion this is not something that someone with an MBA would be doing much less an organization as a whole.

That organization DISGUSTS me and disappoints me.  In dealing with them, they are very un-organized chapter here in Phoenix, very very un-professional with their business practice, and I would URGE NO-ONE to do business or partnerships with this organization UNLESS you want to get screwed in the end!!!
