My fiancée and I reached out to National ERA servicing in July for our move from NJ to GA. The process seemed smooth and the agent, Sherice Pickens- Martins, was very helpful. We agreed that we would move in 9/1, and Sherice offered to let us move in 8/28 to avoid the holiday weekend. The Saturday prior to move in, I called and left her a mesg asking if we could change the agreed upon time of picking up keys/walk through from 2:30pm I also called her Monday on my way down. I told her that I wouldn't be there until after 4, she told me that she was unable to wait because she lived too far away. I again explained that we were traveling from states away and wouldn't be able to stay somewhere else over night and needed the keys. She told me that she would call me back, about 45 mins passed and she called back and told me that I couldn't move in for two days because they had "something come up" and the contractor just told her. I told her that was unacceptable and I was literally 4 hours away she then called me back and continued to tell me that there was nothing she could do. we finally got her to meet us at the home at 6pm it was disgusting and not move in ready. It seems as if she forgot that we were coming until I called. I took several pix. It was way more than the carpet issue she stated on the phone. She offered us $55 for a room and told us again that we had to wait until Wed. Meanwhile we had family take off from work and travel to help us as well as having two young children. We were at the home for over an hour discussing this getting nowhere. We were able to call a family member and travel 30 mins, with our moving truck and stay there cramped in her apartment overnight. Sherice was supposed to call me at 10am and 12pm with updates on the carpet replacement and cleaning that needed to be , we finally spoke with her but were only told that the process had started. My fiancee drove to the home to see for himself and spoke with the contractor who told us 3pm might be pushing it but he believed  they could get it done. So around 3 we headed that way. Sherice called at 415 and told me the house would be ready at  5. I told her again that we were being treated unfairly and it was very inconsiderate. We continued on and waited at the home. Her husband was powerwashing the home and two women exited the home, they said that they were cleaners. One was holding a newborn baby in a carseat..We were finally able to enter the home and do a ealk through after 5pm, I expressed again being unhappy to pay the first  months rent in full with these delays.  Around 730 our downstairs lights porch light and doorbell blew out. We called sherice the next morning and told her. It took several follow up calls to her before  she had an electrician come out. He was very plesant and told us how the family before us had a fire in their downstairs laundry room  a few months prior and how they had installed garage lights on their own causing the short fuses. He fixed everything a few days later for us. We have not spoken to Sherice since, and have received 3 complaints in the mail from the HOA  which we didnt know the home was apart of , fining the tenants for issues to the home. They were dated prior to  our move in so I assume that National ERA will take ownership of these fines.  We asked Sherice for a decrease of the first  months rent and were told no she offered a 5day credit for Oct which we do not find fair or adequate. We wish to have that addressed.
