I just discovered about 2 months ago that I have being billed $11.00 a month on my Valero/Dsrm National Bank gas card since May of 2011.  I thought this was part of my gas bill only to discover that in 2010 Valero supposedly gifted me insurance to be paid for a year by them and then if I didn't call the insurance company that was my acceptance.

I was furious and Valero claimed there was nothing they could do because I was the policy holder. I never got a letter from this insurance company but, they got a big chunk of my money.  I questioned Valero because being my entire bill was paid to them I held them just as responsible.

I would have never taken out coverage with this company and can't seem to get any help in getting my money back. This has got to be the biggest ripoff on the planet.  Be sure that if you hold a gas card with Valero you check your bill because the additional funds are right underneath where your gas charges are although there is a small number printed out to the right and a phone number.

I cancelled my credit card with Valero and have filed a complaint with all my credit bureaus regarding this problem. Unbelievable that they can get away with that. Beware of the National Union Fire Insurance Company and check all your credit cards for bogus charges in small print.
