Dishonest representation of hotel..do not stay there! We just returned from a weekend at the Navigator Beach Club in Dennisport, Ma. I was charged 240 plus tax per night for a room with ocean front and porch and was told that the room was "totally redone". Seems reasonable since this was high season. I was also told they would try to have the pool open by the time we arrived, since the electricity to it was on the building that was being re-done.

Upon check-in, Mara, who took my reservation told me that since the pool wasn't working and the place was in repair, she would try to 1/2 the rate. I really didn't understand why she would offer that...until I saw the room! The room was never redone, the place looked so run down and dirty, there was no phone or clock in room, the bathroom had no outlet where to plug in a hairdryer, the slider barely opened..I could go on and on...

Even worse than the room, the place is crawling with time-share salesmen. I never felt safe! They were swarming all over the place. Apparently the place is going to be only time-share, they were on the beach, hanging outside, wheeling and dealing. We paid to stay and they had the nerve to ask us to attend a time share!

The next day I checked back with Mara to make sure she did in fact 1/2 the rate and she tried to get me to pay another 110.00 instead. I told her she said the room was "totally redone" when I called to reserve and she said the carpet was new and the slider as well. Trust me nothing has been done to that room in 15+ years..... The pool that they were trying to open by the time we got there was on the side of the building they were re-doing that was totally gutted and only had the walls and roof up. There was no way that pool was going to be open in time!

Bottom line.. don't trust these people..if they treat hotel guests like that you imagine how they would treat someone buying a time share from them!
