Continues to place the following ad in our local buy and sell paper:

*NEED A PHONE INC: *$24.99/first month. Reconnection with no credit check, no-one refused. 1-866-444-3815, www.Need-A-Phone.com [email protected]

Our daughter's regular phone service was disconnected when she was in the hospital for 21 days and lost track of her debts. When she was discharged from the hospital she needed to have a phone for health and safety reasons. To facilitate quick service, she called the above business and was told she had to pay *$50* up front... *no mention of $24.99*. In desperation she paid $50 with the promise that she would be hooked up immediately and to do so, she followed their instructions, sent a $50 money order and the post office faxed a copy of the money order directly to the business to hurry the reconnection. Several days later with no response from Need A Phone, I called them and spoke to a gentleman who confirmed that he had received both the money order and the faxed copy. More days passed and the phone still hadn't been reconnected, I called again and spoke to a woman who said they had not received either the money order nor the faxed copy, saying they had never even received a request for reconnection to my daughter's address and that we must have sent it to someone else even though this was after the gentleman I first spoke to confirmed that they had received both. After several calls and days later they found the money order and and the phone was finally reconnected.

My daughter recently received a notice that her phone would be cut off it they didn't receive another $50 money order. Because their advertisement says $24.99 for the first month, she immediately sent them a money order for $25.00 saying that having paid $50 the first month, she must have overpaid for the first month. Her phone has been disconnected.

Their customer service is terrible, but worse... Their advertising is FALSE.
