Neil Maffetone, NJM Improvements complete ripoff for $21,000 for poor workmanship on colonial flatstone patio and walkway Ripoff Putman Valley New York
We hired and paid $21,000 (twenty one thousand ) to a contractor by the name of Neil Maffettone, NJM Improvements (recommended by a friend) to do work on a walkway and a back patio deck in November 2004.
The Colonial flatstone work was not completed and further it now has many cracks whereby some of the flatstones can be lifted completely out of the supposedly cemented areas. We have called him on three occasions where he has promised to come to finish and repair the work. He has never called to cancel his appointments and has never shown up as he promised. We wrote him two weeks ago asking him to come and make matters right.
He has not responded to our federal express letter. He has left 4 wooden skids, 8 bags of cement, a pile of sand on the front lawn and pieces of old unused flat stones on the property, which has now become not just unsightly but hazardous to our safety
