nerdsbuy.com supereasybuy.com Credit card fraud, unresponsive to phone calls, bait and switch Los Angeles, California
I tried again and again to buy a Garmin GPS offered for sale on the nerdsbuy.com / supereasybuy.com web site the night of October 26, 2009. Each time I confirmed my purchase, their web site reported that my transaction failed because the billing address I provided did not match the records on file with the credit card company. Each time I rechecked my address and trie to complete the transaction, never with any success.
In the morning, Visa Fraud Services contacted me by phone because every transaction actually was approved and there was no problem with my billing address on any of them. I called both of the phone numbers listed on the nerdsbuy.com web site (310-237-6470 and 818-574-8863) and got the same recorded message for Super Easy Buy on both of them. I left a message explaining the problem and asked for a call back, but as of the evening of Oct. 27, no one has contacted me.
Instead, when I call the numbers, now they either ring and ring with no answer or they hang up on me. Also, I checked back on the web site and found they had pulled the item I was trying to buy even though it was listed as in stock last night.
I am concerned that this irresponsible company, if it is a company, has tried to make several charges to my credit card without ever intending to sell me the item I was ordering, and that they may continue to misuse my confidential credit card information. Because they will not answer their phone or call me back, I can only expect the worst.
